Hi I am a wife and a mother of 7 children, 3 girls and 4 boys. I love creating for the Sim's...I started doing walls and floors back when Sim's 1 was popular... and started recoloring when I found the Texture Challange here at TSR. I started recoloring at TC50 and instantly became hooked, and recently started learning to mesh so who knows where that will go. Hope you like what you see ...luvmy7

Yay! It's Christmas Day! So far I've only had a couple of presents, A Nintendo DS with The Sims 2 Castaway, needs to be played a bit more, and chocolate :DGoing to my Mum's in about 20 mins for dinner and spend time with the family, can't wait :D

Computer woes!
I'm currently between computers. My best-friend Mike lent me his laptop until my laptop came back from being repaired. It had a blow-out...so to speak; a fried video card fried the mother-board. It had to be sent all the way to Japan for repairs. It took for ever it seemed.......but the length of time my laptop was gone was a bigger problem than just me missing my computer. It was wiped clean of any info; I lost ALL sims (but I'll go into that in another blog), I lost a BUNCH of pictures of my kids (I only have visitation with them......so that one REALLY HURT). The trip was obviously VERY ROUGH on my poor laptop because when Mike & Karen went to pick it up for me........they noticed that the plastic of one of the hinges was horribly damaged! It was supposed to go to San Jose for re-casing.......but the jerks at Fry's electronics had my laptop sitting on a shelf for almost a week before ACTUALLY being sent off to San Jose for said repairs from the repairs.......well technically the trip to and from. That by the way just seems asinine to sell computers in the US but then refuse to service them there..........not that I've got anything against any other country.......but gosh darn it if your country is going to sell products on a mass scale like FUJITSU then...........duh have some people in what ever country you're selling butt loads of them. Seems cheaper to pay some people to fix in the US then the shipping of getting the equipment back to Japan. Oh + I didn't exactly get a passport, round trip ticket to Japan when I bought it...........Mike drove me; I bought the laptop in the same country, state, and county that I live. Bon Voyage
WOW! I love Bon Voyage. I doubt that anyone is reading this, but I have to say that at the moment it's probably a good thing since I've been completely obsessed with game play and not creating.I expect I'll be creating in the new year. I'm on two years leave and then am back to work and back to college (am taking a graphic arts course in Sydney) so will need to start designing to keep my right-brain active.
Tips for Downloaders

1. What does High Polygon new mesh item means?
2. Classify new mesh item into levels.

4. Draw a security line for the new mesh items.
5. Modify your security line according to different kinds of items.

1. What does High Polygon new mesh item means? (content)
All the new mesh items in The Sims2 game such as sims, cloth, hair, furniture etc. both are constructed by these two basic element: VERTEX and POLYGON, and both are rendered in real-time, that means, the higher number of the basic element, the more computer render time needed. In the sims community, the high number element items was called High Polygon item.
Too many high polygon items in your game may slow down your game a lot, and may cause other problem!
2. Classify new mesh item into levels. (content)
Whether an item is high polygon or not depending on the facts such as the power of your computer, how many tiles does the item has etc...so, instead of simply calling any item as a high polygon item, I would like to suggest that according to the Polygons per Tile of the item, put them into four levels:
Level RED: more than 8000 polygons/tile
Level ORANGE: 5000-8000 polygons/tile
Level YELLOW: 2000-5000 polygons/tile
Level GREEN: less than 2000 polygons/tile
3. How to know the polygon number? (content)
We can roughly tell any item's polygon is higher than the other one simply by what they are look like. Usually, an curvy item (the complex one) do has more polygons than a flat one (the simple one), take figure A and B as an example please.
We can know the accurate polygon number through these two methods:
a) Online message
If the creator enter the polygon message when they upload the item, it will show up in the download page of that item, click HERE for example.
b) Modding Tool
Open the package file of the item in SimPE, follow the steps shown in figure C please.
One thing I want to mention is that the number we have got either from online message or the modding tool, is the TOTAL polygon number, it is not the number of polygon/tile, see figure D as an example please:
The polygon number of the chair is 456, and the bed's is 4436 , it seems that the chair is a Level GREEN item, and the bed is a Level YELLOW item, but in fact, the bed is a 6 tile item, it is arround 740 polygons/tile, so the chair and the bed are both Level GREEN item.
4. Draw a security line for the new mesh items. (content)
You can draw your security line at any level you want! For example, if you have a super super computer, you can draw your security line at Level RED; if you runing your game on an ordinary computer, try the Level GREEN please; if you only got an slow computer, but you really like those complex items, you still can select Level RED as your security line, but the price paid for this will be runing a very slow game, even game crash sometimes. Any way, chosing any level as your secruity line is totally up to you.
5. Modify your security line according to different kinds of items. (content)
Some items such as a new mesh cloth or a new mesh hair usually goes to higher level then the simple object items do. For example, most of these kind of items goes to Level YELLOW instead of Level GREEN. If you draw your security line at Level GREEN, you should adjust the line a little bit higher, in this case should be the Level YELLOW for these kind of items.
6. Manage the Downloads folder according to your security line. (content)
a) I would like to suggest you create a temporary folder under the Downloads folder for those items which cross your security line. If those items drag down your game speed, even crash your game, you can move them out of the game easily.
b) Put different level items into different folders is another option managing your downloads.
c) Limits the cross line items. Drawing the security line does not mean no cross line item at all, you can still have them in your game, but I would like to suggest you limit the number of the cross line items, for example set the number under 20. Replace these 20 cross line items with other cross line items instead of putting all of them into the game.

I C High Quality Sets N ur FUTURE! (Preview)
Yeah, I've been in the lab conjuring up all kinds of creations! I have 5 new sets coming out for you all. Call it Christmas, call it the season of creating and sharing, call it whatever u want. I like to call it, enthusiasm thanks to the new graphics card. I've just REALLY been in the mood to create wonderful items that I KNOW your Simmies will appreciate. Who knows, one day I might be a SA. Now on with the show:
Previews
1) The first set that should release today is called short TYMES. It's basically a set of plaid shorts for the sims that are still enjoying warm weather.
2) For those of you who are less fortunate than the above who are suffering from Jack frost, I brought to you Velour robes! They are truly warm and cozy. Ask any sim on the planet.
3) This third set is for the Hello Kitty fans out there.
Lastly, I have a few more surprise sets in which I will preview for you sometime in the near future.

Yeah, so after somewhat coming down from my high of having a MiniSite, I felt the need to prove that I deserve this pleasant gift in which I gave to my self. I've worked rather hard- night till day in creating a Christmas pajama set for your Adult Males. They've worked so hard all year around the house, (yeah right), and I felt they too deserved something nice! XD. I hope you will enjoy them. They'll be around shortly. The Birth Of A Minisite
What's the meaning of having a Mini-site you ask? It simply means that you have a personal space to show off your talented creations. Ooooh noooo honey, it means fAAAAAr more than that. Having a Mini-site means that you are a true TSR junkie. You sleep, eat, and...well, we know the rest to that clich�. Anyhow, It's actually a sweet & sinful j�y to actually know that you've come so far in dedicating yourself to having one and then actually succeeding! After seeing that I hit that 20000 kudos mark, two creatures popped on my shoulders. "Click the Buy Mini-site button!" one yelled. "No, no, you're not ready yet, you need more than 20 puny creations before you decide!" the other screamed. And so... after a few months of Kudos scouring and lynch mobbing... I finally have my very �wn Mini-site! Boy do I feel like a million bucks.

I'm working on something new. It's small and simple (I'm too mentally drained to do my usual elaborate sets), but VERY needed. Builders will be quite happy with it =]I'll be going home for Christmas tomorrow (Sunday), and return (hopefully) before New Years.
After that, I have two solid weeks before school starts back up, so we'll see what I can get done before then!

Vacation ...

A Cautionary Tale for Multi-taskers
Oh Woe Is Me! I have done something so baaaaaaaaaaad, bad it hurts to think about it. You have probably wondered why I have been going nuts with bedding (here a color, there a color) ... I have been trying to work out my frustration of deleting (yes, I did say deleting *curses loudly*) my main building account on my computer *curses again*.While cleaning up my extra files and user accounts on my computer ... I was on the cellphone, didn't have my glasses on, had the dog on my lap, drinking my coffee, and smoking a cigarette (okay, so I have one bad habit) ... and accidently erased my Sims Builder account ... everything is GONE ...POOF! All my precious textures ... I had even created all new walls for a new series ... and I was planning on starting the construction ... all gone, gone (*curses, again*)
So before hitting that 'delete' button (*curses, again*) ... focus, focus ...
1. Put your glasses on.
2. Dog off the lap.
3. No phone calls.
4. No smoking.
5. No saying bad words. (I guess that's a bad habit, too.)
And now I promise to STOP making bedding ... you have had enough torture for this week.

Well, it's been an interesting year.
There were a lot off great new expansions like BonVoyage and Teenstyle and in the mean time it's allmost Christmas. I'm happy about that, because I love Christmas verry much!! This week I have decided to launch a minisite. I must say, it feels like a verry nice Christmas present. I'm only asking myself why I don't see a the space on top off the page for my creations. I created 114 files, but to me, somehow they seem to be dissappeared... Maybe I have to do something about my settings? Time will learn, and the know how to. At the moment, the most of my work are clothing, wallpapers, floors, some buildings and a lot off screenies. I'm still working on a lot off new stuff. I also have a lot ideas in the works, as well as new floors and walls and a lot off more stuff. Well.. I guess that's it for the first blog. Thank you for downloading & your support!!

The Art of Household Cleaning and Management for The Sims 2 How to keep your lots sparkling clean with three easy principles.
Principle one:
There is no other cleaning agent more powerful or forgiving of lacklustre hygiene than our friend: Fire. A new house is a clean house, and what better cause for a new house than a fire?
It was, after all, the resulting re-housing and re-furnishing after a house fire that originally inspired Will Wright to create The Sims, so what more natural way to honour his creative genius than to celebrate the hygienic, cleansing power of fire?
Principle Two:
When fire is not readily available, there are several easy ways to make your Sims' homes more inviting for fire thanks to the creative thinkers at Electronic Arts:
- The fireplace
- Broken televisions and computers left unrepaired
- Dirty kitchen appliances
- Dirty counters
- Dirty sinks, showers, and commodes (in addition to the nasty menace of clogging and death by flies)
- Weeds on the lawn
- Untrimmed hedges
- Trees in sore need of pruning
- Dead fruit trees
- Dead leaves whether in piles or scattered about the lawn.
- Piles of trash and plates of rotten food (in addition to the nasty menace of death by flies)
- Indoor cooking with an outdoor grill is a fool-proof means!
Principle Three:
The source of all uncleanliness in The Sims 2 is the Sims themselves, regardless of their gender, age, or species. In all instances, it is best to allow none of them on your lots. Here, a judicious use of the moveObjects� cheat works wonders. If you find you cannot play the game without Sims, then it is important that you preserve and augment the game's already high mortality rate (See Principle One).
Although I have not had the joy of seeing this, some people report that Sims will spontaneously combust from a prolonged exposure to the Sun's healthful rays. This confirms my suspicions about the Sims being filthy beasts, since only dirty things catch fire in the game.
I hope this helps you each and all to achieve the harmonious happiness of tidiness we all seek and crave.
