Malibu Teen Swimwear
Another neglected category is teen swimwear, hence this set of 8 cross-over halter neck swimsuits. Six are colourful, one is black and one is white - it looked a little plain so I added a cute gold embroidered butterfly.
The swimsuits were inspired by a Karla Colletto swimsuit. They use a standard Maxis mesh and are base game compatible. For teen girls only.
Cottage Decor
The first set in the new theme comes out this weekend. One of my favorite colors is red so I was dying to work with a red and green scheme. I'm starting with the patterned walls this time and the next set will be the coordinating solid walls and carpets. Then curtains and tiles and also some bedding will be in one of the sets as well. My work life is crazy right now so these might be a little slower coming out. Hope everyone is having a nice spring and thanks for reading!It's a dorm!
Well, I decided to do something a little different for me so I made a University Dorm. It's not huge, just a four room one, but it has everything your aspiring students need to get along in their chosen degree. There is a lounge, study area, canteen, kitchen and bedroom wing, plus an outdoor swimming pool and leisure activity area. Maxis only content used throughout.
Disco Fever!!
I've just added my very first clothing item to my decades collection. I have decided to add to it as I go along, and anything that will be included in that collection will be "marked" with a decade specific logo. I'm going to be creating items for the decades between 1920 all the way up to, and maybe including the 1980's. This first piece is from the Sexy Seventies!Here is a preview;

On another note, I intend to update with some makeup, but its a little complicated to get all the screens in order, so If I dont get that in first, I will be updating with another wall collection that I have been looking forward to release for some time. There are some Art Noveau style walls, amongst other vintage styles that I think will please just about any taste. Until then, enjoy!
Afro Ken
I found this guy on some stuff in Tammy Girl. I bought a little toy which hangs from my rear view mirror. I looked him up and he's a dog with an afro which changes into whatever he walks past!! I really want a T-shirt but I'm going to have to settle for making them for my Sims!!

My next set, 'Opus', is made of wood, and I hope you'll like it. It started out as a study room, so that's why I called it 'Opus', but it turned into a dining room set all by itself :) It will be published tomorrow.

Just a quick update to alert you to upcoming publications. :DToday sees the release of my Palm Cockatoo. I just want to say that the screenshot doesn't do this bird justice, being such a dark colour made it awkward to present well. If you're not sure going by the picture, please do give it a look in-game. I have opted for a mid-size texture on this one - I did create a higher quality one but the difference in filesize was nearly 3Mb and it didn't look that much better.
I am working as we speak on a new parrot project - but this one is under wraps for now. I can however tell you that, like the Phoenix, this is quite different from the norm. ;)
I have also submitted a new house. This was actually requested by TSR member soulstripper who really liked Brightview Micro Dorm but wanted a residential dwelling for her family of two adults, a teen, a child and a toddler. I'm actually very pleased with how it has turned out, especially as it's so small yet can accomodate so many. You can check it out for yourselves come Saturday. :)
Only Four!?
That's right, only four counter-matching buffet-length tables. I found I just couldn't get a table that I could live with out of the limited counter texture for the Industrial Steelate counter; I was already having to mirror it around mutltiple times even just for the kitchen table, it was getting rather tile-y for the dining sized table, and the buffet length... Eeek! It just was too much for one little texture to manage. So your poor little sims who like the industrial look will have to get by with the other two lengths of table, I'm sorry to say.April 15th, Victoriana Table Lamp Collection
The Victoriana table lamp collection features 2 lampbase colors, bronze metal and antique gold and 6 vintage lampshade colors. Lampshade colors are, amber, alabaster, jade, red, violet, and teal. Mix and match for lots of color combinations. Collection is scheduled for publication on April 15th.

My First Set
Well, I submitted my first set today! We'll see if I did it right. I had gotten requests for matching items for my bedding, so I decided to try and start making whole matching bedroom sets. This is my first time doing it. I hope it all turned out O.K. I'm still learning so maybe I'll get better at it with time. I'm trying to make things that I know I like for my gameplay, because believe me, that's what I like MOST about the game!!!Anyway, hopefully there will be some of you out there who have been looking for the same look I'm going for!

Diversion
Had to take a slight break from the rooms to get out some rugs and walls that people had requested. No worries. Back to rooms soon enough.Still no word from that site. I tried.
Still working on lots of new things for you. Don't worry. It won't all be pink! Seem to have been on pink binge lately. Must be due to Easter or something. But I think I'm over it now. At least I know I can do girly if it's required!
Layout Changes On New Site
My neice, Destin�e loves the sims 2. She's going on 10, and I am proud to say (and almost NOT proud--she's addicted) that I introduced her to the game.She loves it! She'll hold up a shirt or skirt she owns, and ask me to remake it, she's so cute.
When I told her that I was thinking of opening up a sims site, she was so excited. She wanted to be a part of it, so I told her that she could pick the site design (with me overwatching, of course, lol).
She wanted something that she could get creative with--something that she could change each month. I thought it was cute at first (she wanted to change the borders to yellow or orange for the summer months--they're purple now for Easter. She wanted to then change them to red/white/blue for late June, July) but I pointed out to her that the site was growing, and pretty soon, there will be too many pages for her to change colors on (and prompt me to change the cursors, scrollbars, etc).
I got about 2 hours of the silent treatment, and an angry glance every 5 minutes from the adorable face (that reminds me so much of my mother it's scary!) of my neice (did I mention the folded arms?) but after drawing her over, and promising that she'd get to snap shots of the clothing in-game, and pick the featured pictures for each section page, we made peace, and I came to a firm decision.
I'm changing the layout of my Simphany. It's not going to be a dramatic change, but the color will be stationary (something I don't have to change each month) and being that I'll be working on the layout alone, I don't have to worry about broken links, etc., because I'll be going through the new site with a fine toothed comb.
Hopefully, the new layout will be up and running this weekend. I'm just checking on the links for the main pages. For those who have visited, and left encouraging words, I thank you. There will be new content added to the site before the end of the week.

Normal? What's Normal?
Joy of joys hubby has been discharged so we are sort of back to normal HOWEVER I managed to write my car off yesterday on the way back from the hospital - car suffered more than us!! will it never end!! any way we're all ok so that's the main thing - and before you ask no it wasn't my fault!!Download problems
The Salsa Bedroom had some download problems the last few days. Somehow there were a few recolorsets of another creator attached to the meshset. So if you downloaded this set yesterday, you will find 40 files in the zip instead of 15.The set is now removed to repare it. As a result of this the meshlinks also don't work proparly at the moment. As soon as the files are repared the set will be republished, so this is only a temporarely problem.

Got a New Graphics Card
I finally decided to buy a new graphics card for my computer after I continued to have problems taking pictures of my creations. They would be nice and clear to start off with, but then would suddenly get so blurry that they looked terrible. It's amazing how much better my Sims look now that my graphics are improved! Maybe now I can finally get some good pictures when I am creating clothing.Parrot Recolour Quality Poll..
Thanks to the enormous popularity of the Phoenix which was released recently, I am interested in knowing how happy people are to download such large files. The Phoenix came in at over 2Mb compressed and over 5Mb when extracted to the game Downloads folder.Therefore, I have made a new poll for you to answer. :D
I enjoy making such detailed textures, but I do want to ensure that the majority of downloaders are happy with the hefty filesize. I'm also concerned that it might have a negative impact on in-game performance - if you've played with the Phoenix and noticed any slowdown as a result, please do let me know.
There is one other option (which I haven't mentioned in the poll) and that's for me to do one high quality and one low-quality version of each bird. I'd love to hear individual feedback on this too, so please leave a comment if this is of interest to you. :)
BTW, I was hoping to finish and submit the Palm Cockatoo today but I have still not been 100% on the ball and so this will probably be tomorrow now. Sorry for the delay, but I do want to make sure this meets all my usual standards and it's a tad difficult to do that with a foggy brain. :D
Alarmclock room finished!
Well I've finished my first recoloring of an entire room today, and I had a lot of troubles doing so, mainly because I was an total and complee idiot (according to my self). First of all - this is for all of you who is about to try it on your own, not that I think you as stupid as I was - do not forget to give all the items different names - this jerk forgot it - a lot - and had to restart. Second do not - this is very important - leave your computer on while a 3 year old is playing on the floor, it takes more than 3 seconds to get something to drink, and a 3 year old kid is faster than you think, at least mine are, he totaly "recolored" everything in paint shop pro :) But now it is done, and uploaded, and now I can not do anything but wait and see, if everything was done right :) I hope you will enjoy it!

I hope you haven't gorged yourselves on too much chocolate. ;)I also want to apologise for not being around these last few days. I'm not sure what I've had, but I ain't been feeling too grand at all. I've dubbed this new-found illness "Creator's Syndrome" as it seems like many TSR creators have succumbed to ill-health lately. Spooky eh? :D
Anyway, I'd best be off making things for you lovely people. The Palm Cockatoo is nearly finished, so watch this space. :)

You must be! I certainly am!SOMEONE (casts accusing stares amongst the crowds) managed to cock up these windows AGAIN!
Apparently, you don't like the windows in brilliant, zappy blue. Why not? Blue is a cool colour. Sometimes, it's a pretty, flashing blue. Lucky you, I say!
But no, as is usual in Simdom, objects are not meant to flash blue, so (sigh) I've fixed the incompetent error made by SOMEONE here, and have uploaded them again. In fact, for your own sanity, I just advise you add a link to these windows in your browser's 'favourites' menu and just download them routinely - once a month. Who knows? You might one day find a version that works correctly!

A new look....
You may have noticed I am no longer using The Ghost Rider for my avatar. It's not that I don't like the character, I do. It's just it was time for a change.Now I was talking to my good friend darqstar about it. I was thinking of other movie monsters I could use.
That's when she pointed out Eddie. I must have had a stupid moment not to think about him. He has served Iron Maiden for years as the image of the group, and now he can serve me as well.
If your not a big Iron Maiden fan, the artwork comes from the Killer album. I really like the look on his face.
Also I would like to thank darqstar once again for the background I use for my banner, and the AC DC font she found for me. She is such an awesome friend.
So now It will be Eddie that is the image you think of when you think of me.

Trying
Well, I wrote to the site and asked if it would be possible to put all the items for each set style into one big zip file for you. Still haven't heard from them, but it is a time when a lot of people are taking off on holiday, so I'll give them another week to respond. If I still don't hear anything, well, we're no worse off than we were before. I'm just trying to make it a bit easier.What's new? I've done a recolor of the Salsa bathroom to match the Salsa bedroom recolor I did. I know, you haven't seen that yet either. I'm going to try to get it out this week.
There are several other things I'm working on. I'll get them to you as soon as I can. Let me know if you want something in particular and I'll try to work it in.

I haven't made undies for teens before and I've noticed that it's rather a neglected category so I decided to have a go. Each set comprises cotton camisole with floral lace overlay, scalloped lace trim, spaghetti straps and delicate empire line ribbon detail, worn with matching lace-trimmed panties. There are eight colours to choose from.
Inspired by an Eberjey camisole. For teen girls only. Standard Maxis mesh i.e. base game compatible.

River Hair ; retexture #3,426
I know, I know.... that river hair is just another one of the countless recolors of that great XM sims mesh. Well, I had a reason for doing it, and I was banking on the fact that I wouldnt be alone in my postulations. I must have downloaded 5 or 6 retextures of it, and each and every one of them, while truly fine in their own right, was just not quite what I was looking for. I wanted something smooth, somewhat in the middle of Sim-like and Life-like, in realistic colors, and with a realistic "wispiness". Oh, and without bangs, that was a must. I like bangs just fine, but on this particular style, it looks so much prettier without. (to me, anyway)So there you have it. I hope you'll like it!Somewhere down the tracks on my train of thought, I have been trying to get in an organized mode to work on my upcoming decades project. I am nearly done with one of my seventies evening gowns, but I am at a loss for how to put it all together. Should I release each outfit one by one? Or should I wait until each set is done? Should I add to it randomly, and throw in other projects in between? Still pondering on this one. In the meantime, I think I might get another makeup collection together. I have sooo much of it, and I would really like to share. Maybe this is the time. Any thoughts?
Texture Challenges
