Spiral Direct T-shirts
This website has to be one of my all time favourites for T shirts, long sleaves, hoodies, work shirts etc.. I have over 30 of their tops in my wardrobe at the moment - Im rarely seen without one at weekends, unless im advertising one of my favourite bands... and so how fitting that my move into recolouring ventured into T-shirts and my natural thought was - I love my tops so much,I want my Sims to be able to wear them too - case ye out thy nasty default twinsets!And so, as can be seen in my latest feature is a screenie i put together of just a few of the designs currently in progress.. I hope you like them!
I must just say that some of the designs I feel are not PG13 friendly, (such as vampires dripping blood) and so to that end, i will release those for publication on another site I contribute to called Simaholics R Us and they will be free to download.
Stay tuned - there will be around 50 shirts coming available, and im about half way through so it shouldnt be long now!
Still Working On Things...
I know, it's been a while since I last put up any objects. I do have some things I'm still working on and just need to finish off making and testing the packages for before I get them up.The biggest one is more counter-matching tables - for the same set of five counters as I've previously tackled, but this time in buffet-length size. I was muttering curses to myself a month or two ago about the lack of buffet-length table options and then realised "waitaminute, I just made a set of tables and only did the dining table length, what am I complaining out..." and sat down the next day and knocked out all the meshes for them. It's the actual making into the working packages that's delaying their release at the moment, I find that part a little tedious... and making shadow textures is the bane of my object-creating existence, I have to admit. Just two more tables to get completed and then I'll be posting them.
After that I plan to also do matching barstools for the five counters, and then start tackling other counters, making a kitchen/dining/buffet table and chair/barstool for each (assuming, of course, that they don't already have one or more of the above).
Plus, yes, I am working on some other objects, including another completer set for a Maxis couch, and I'm still tinkering around trying to come up with a mesh I like for a Cryogenic Freezer Bed Mark II.
And now that I know how to get SimPE to only load specific expansions, I should recreate the package files for the counter-matching chairs and the original Cryogenic bed to be base game compatible. Funfunfun!
I swear, I am working on this stuff... it's just my sims keep kidnapping me and demanding that I actually play them and write their stories...

Apr. 7th, Mrs. Butterworth's Scullery
I am taking a break from working on my Victorian Pram set. In the meantime, I decided to create an antique gold recolor of my Victorian Scullery set. The set includes 1 new mesh, a trio of stoneware jugs. Mrs. Butterworth's (Housekeeper to Lady Roslyn) scullery is scheduled for release on April 7th.
Sims1 submissions were down
Just wanted to let everyone know that I am still here and still creating. The Sims1 submissions were down for a couple of weeks while the submissions manager was away. She is getting everything processed, coded into the database, so they should be posted in the next couple of weeks. Ah darn. The holidays for Iranian new year are over! Doesn't it suck when you know you won't be able to make sims stuff for THREE whole months cuz you have some stupid exams. I'll be having exams for the next three months so I won't be able to make things for you in a long time. Sorry bout that.Anyway I do hope, however, to be able to make custom content every once in a while, whenever I get the chance but I still dunno what'll happen.
But the good thing is that I'm buying Milkshape this summer so I'll be back with new meshes!

Howdy mates!Hope you�re all having fun with the latest EP "Seasons", b/c I sure am! I figured since there was no snow what so ever this winter here in Croatia, at least my Sims could have some fun building snowmen and having snow ball fights. I sure didn�t. Things like that really make me sad... But you guys should have a reason to be happy! I�m releasing a new hair mesh called "Daydream" that I really like (which is weird, since it took me so much time to make it, I should probably hate it for all the problems it has caused me). Again, a short one (also weird since I usually prefer long hair), but it wasn�t hard to name it (and in my case that�s super weird) - I heard the song named Daydream performed by Air (you may have heard their songs like "All I need", and "High school Lover", theme song form the movie "Virgin suicides"). Oh boy. If you ever get a chance to buy one of their albums, go for it. They�re great! And I�m not saying that b/c they�re from Europe ;).
K, that would be it. Next to come - clothing sets. Going back to the roots, as they say. Stay tuned!

I am currently working on a full room, but since I am quite new to recoloring, it will probaly take a couple of weeks before I am content with the result, and ready for uploading, until then I will be uploading rugs and some wallpapers. Enjoy.A Short Break...
Unfortunately, I will be taking a short break from creating, probably this whole month :-(. Part of the reason- I am having a lot of computer troubles, and I don't know how long it is going to take to get it fixed. The other part of the reason- I have a lot going on right now- lots of papers to write.I know it is a bit sad, it makes me sad too because I love to create, but hopefully when I begin to create again, I'll have some new inspiration!
And, when I get back, I will make sure my first two sets are the Emerald Living Room Set and Seasons Set 3.
I will still pop on when I can to see what's happening in the world of the sims, but until I write again,

Planned Projects
As of right now, this is what I have planned for the next few weeks.I have two more recolors planned for the Sheffield bedroom � White and Walnut. I will be uploading those this week. I am very pleased with the look of the Sheffield Bedroom, so I intend to continue the theme. I plan to make another bedroom set; it�s kind of a kid�s room. The set will have a single-bed, single space wardrobe, a bookcase, desk and chair, and perhaps even a toy box. I also plan to make a dinning room, living room and kitchen based on this theme. I�m not sure if the premise lends itself to a bathroom, but I�ll be thinking about that while I work on the other projects. Each set will have a total of four colors � light wood, ebony, white, and walnut.
I�ve got my work cut out for me, but I�m really having a lot of fun!

I am making slow but steady progress on my BIG project. I'm not far enough along to reveal what this project IS just yet, but hopefully I can soon =] In the meantime, I'll be uploading the last of my pre-SA sets (sets I completed before I became a SA). It's called the 'Chez Moi' teen bedroom.

A mini site
Well, isn't this pleasant. I've got a mini-site, it's got a few creations on it and it's got a blog, so I figured I best put something in it.Welcome to my site, which is going to be called the highly imaginative Cadiva's Corner. I don't know anything about meshing or recolouring, so the only things you're ever likely to find here will be houses.
If you like odd, quirky and just generally strange things then you've come to the right place, I'm usually building things for Haunted Hollow, the neighbourhood started by DaisyLee in the TSR forums.
Sometimes I make nice little houses for Beacon Falls, which was a community neighbourhood which also started via the TSR forums with Lechapeau and a number of other people involved.
Go check them both out if you've never seen them, they're worth the effort.
Another Provincial Set
I've decided to go ahead and make another matching set for the Provincial Decorating set. This will include another tile floor with a matching tiled wall, curtains, and bathroom rugs and a shower curtain. I'm learning to recolor objects so there may be another set yet to come! I've also started work on another decorating set that will have the same kind of objects, but with different colors. Thanks for all the wonderful comments and encouragement from everyone so far!Thank you, Maxis!!!!
Maxis have listened, and have given us lot builders a patch!!!Those of you who put up with my persistent whining have probably read my lamenting about the change Maxis made to lot packaging (lots would no longer pick up recolours of Maxis objects - like the invisible driveway). Maxis was attempting to curb lot-bloat at The Exchange, because many Sims players who use the 'upload to The Exchange' option were blissfully unaware of their entire downloads folder of recolours being bundled up with it. This then meant that our packaged lots we upload here and at other sites also dropped all the recolours, meaning we either had to do away with our recolours, or do away with playing Pets and Seasons.
When we raised the concern, Maxis said they were listening and would see if there was anything they could do. And they HAVE done! A shiny new patch for Seasons is out now. First and foremost, it gives us our lot packages with custom recolours once again(!!!), but it also fixes the persistent crying babies and the music career award rock hammer's audio problem too.

Which houses are weatherproof in Seasons?
Most people now realise that buildings with CFE-shaped roofs aren't weatherproof in Seasons. Snow and rain will lie OK on flat floor/roof tiles, but not sloping ones.
Many of my recent buildings with CFE roofs are weatherproof, and the ones that weren't I've now made so. The one exception is Tiger's Nest - which is such a pity!!!
The explanation is that as you can see from my tutorials, for my Japanese roofs I include an attic space, and when this has - or is given - a floor, the snow and heavy rain settle lightly on the attic floor, leaving Sims snug and content in the building below.
But Tiger's Nest is so complex and has so many levels that I had to give 2 large rooms a single sloping roof, without any attic space. I'll see what I can do with it later on! :)
My earlier buildings can also mostly be weatherproofed, and I'll be doing this over the next week. The starships and some parts of the Biospheres can't be weatherproofed, I'm afraid. :( Oh well. ;)
Steadfast Gates

Another dorm & parrot poll update...
Yes, I have made and submitted another dorm. I know, they all come at once, just like buses. Blame my loopy head for giving me these disorganised "bursts" of creativity. :DI won't post a screenshot this time, I'll keep you on your toes. ;) However, I will say it's a very compact, stylish dorm for up to 8 students. It has been built on a tiny 2x2 lot and is geared towards those of you with lower-spec computers. Don't think that this means there's nothing to do though - the dorm is packed with all sorts of skill-building and socialising goodies. :D
The parrot poll has now been closed, with the Palm Cockatoo the clear winner having 44% of the vote. I shall get started on creating him over the next few days - thank you to all who voted. :)

Easter Flags Hopping Along
As you should expect by now, with the approaching Easter holiday comes a new batch of seasonal flags. The upcoming Easter flag collection consists of 16 cute and colourful flags featuring bunnies, chicks and coloured eggs in a variety of styles for your decorating pleasure. :)
Furthermore, I'm happy to announce that I will have all of next week off from work due to the Easter holidays and I'm planning on catching up with my Sim creations. There should be a number of new object recolours, perhaps a new meshed object or two and hopefully I'll finally get around to updating some of my lots and houses to be Seasons prepped and throw in a completely new Seasons-themed store. We'll see how much I get done, as the lists are rather long.
Difficulties
Boy, you folks are not going to like me. But it's ownly partly my fault. I have made 3 of what I call Multi-Sets. They are a sort of combination bedroom, dining room and living room all in one. But looking at the site I got the meshes from it's a bit of a mess. Each item has to be downloaded individually and the items are in 4 different places. If I didn't like what I'd created, I would scrap the whole bit just for the inconvenience to you.I did two living rooms also from the same site. I'm not sure if they are individual downloads or not, but I suspect they are. I hope you don't mind all that downloading.
I also made about 5 extra sets of cushions for the living room furniture and dining chair so you can have some variety.
Also the UV Mapping is just a bit off on some of the items, so the fabric isn't always stricly in line, but I think what I've used minimizes that problem.
So I'm trying to get you some rooms out. The poll makes it pretty plain that rooms rule and that you don't want any walls. I have some walls in the queue, but I'll hold on to them for a bit and get your room craving satisfied.
The Turano Dining Room in Yellow is coming out soon. The Add-on packs for the sets already released, plus the yellow one will be coming out. Then there are more colors to come.
I did another recolor of the Bon Bon bedroom in Berry and that will make its way out.
And I did a recolor of the Salsa bedroom. Ambitious undertaking, but I think it came out well. We'll see what you think.
I did some phone kiosks in the 20 colors and those will be out eventually. Someone requested that. And I'm working on doing the public telephones as well, but that has been set aside for the moment.
And I have a couple of texture challenge rooms to get to you too.
And in the next few days one of my favorite rooms I've done will come out. We shall see if you agree.

Requests
If there's a certain hairstyle that you would like for me to recolor, feel free to ask and I'll see if I can do it (assuming it's okay with the original creator since you have to get persmission first). Sunair is okay with recolors for her hair and Xmsims is also okay with them as long as you give credit. Peggysims is also fine with recolors of their free hairs, but other sites I'm not too sure about so just let me know. I'm in school full time so if I agree to do it, bare with me if I take a while to submit it, my daily schedule can really get crazy at times,lol.One thing you should keep in mind when you want certain styles recolored, the textures on some styles are different so there's no guarantee the colors will look the same on every style. For ex. with sunair hairs, she has the same textures for all of her creations so when I color them the results are pretty much guaranteed to be the same, whereas with Xmsims there hair styles all have different textures so you won't always expect the same thing. It's a good thing in a way because you get more variety with the styles and colors.
And speaking of textures, I haven't exactly mastered texturing and alpha-editing hair yet,so I'm just letting you know up front I won't be able to do it as of now. I tried quite a few times but i end up making a big mess. But I'm working on it. In the meantime, if you want something in particular let me know and as always your feedback is very much appreciated! queenie
TS1 for TS2 Set Submitted!
I have *finally* submitted the TS1 for TS2 Set! It's about time!:-D (especially since I have been talking about it since probably January, and here it is almost April!)
The finished set contains: 9 new meshes, (4 meshes based on TS1 base game objects, 1 mesh based on a Livin' Large objects, 2 based on Hot Date objects, and 2 meshes based on Superstar objects), and 5 recolors of some of the objects found in this set.
Now that that set is finally done, I am ready to begin work on my next three sets- the Sapphire Living Room Set, Emerald Living Room Set, and Seasons Set 3.
A couple of final notes, on 3/30, my first article/tutorial will be published, and it is about making two different types of stairs, and I will begin work soon on my next story- Extreme Sim Homemakeover Episode 7.

For the last week or so, I've been working on a particularly intensive project that I've finally completed and submitted this evening. I'd like to introduce to you the beautiful Phoenix:
Over 20 solid hours of blood, sweat and tears have gone into this wonderful bird. I created an extremely high-resolution texture, thus the file itself is rather large coming in at over 5Mb uncompressed. I believe you will find the download to be well worth it though as I have paid immense attention to detail. Every feather was hand-crafted, the skin is ultra-realistic and the colours have been seamlessly blended. Maxis' use of the texture has given me some limitations, but I've worked around them to the best of my ability.
In total, I created 517 layers in Photoshop to make this as perfect as possible. The final PSD file comes in at nearly 50Mb.
I had great fun making this (and some frustration too lol) and I do hope you will enjoy playing it. Publication will hopefully be sometime over the next few days. :)
UPDATE / Publication date will be Saturday 31st March. :D
Medieval columns
Since the connecting arch needs a lot of BHAV editing to get fixed (the Maxis original items are somewhat buggy), I've decided to release the columns for the moment. They took me so much time to get ready, that I couldn't bear leaving them in a forgotten folder in my hard drive.When (and if?) I fix the arch, I will add it to the set. At the moment, it keeps reverting to the default colour every time I add a piece to it and I hate it.

Everyone thanks a lot for all the congratulations I received on becoming a Featured Artist on March 23th. And thanks for the warm welcome from the whole group of FA's. It feels so great to be part of this wonderfull group of people, all full of so many talents. Also thanks to Thomas and the rest of the staff for giving me this huge opportunity and having so much trust in someone who has only been creating for a relative short period. Thank you all! TSR is a wonderfull place where everyone can upload their creations, without being afraid that they may be refused for not being good enough. This has stimulated me to try to make some creations and also upload them, about 3 months ago. I discovered I had talents I never knew I had. Things have gone very quickly after that: until the end of december I was only a downloader, now I'm a Featured Artist. I can't believe it myself sometimes, but I'm enjoying every moment of it. Preview I'm working on a bathroom that matches the Salsa Bedroom. It's not ready yet, but I hope I have it ready for you this weekend. Main part of this bathroom is the bath. The bath can be used in pairs and will then form one round, sunken bath. The bath has also a small shelf where a glas of champagne or a bottle of shampoo can be placed. The sink and some other parts of this bathroom can be combined with the the dressers and mirror of the Salsa Bedroom. They will all fit nicely together. I've also added another (outward) corner, ofcourse with working shelves. Soon your rich simcouples will be able to enjoy a hot bubblebath together in this round sunken bath, with a glas of champagne nearby. Don't become jealous of your sims!
TS1 for TS2 Preview!
I will be ready tonight or tomorrow to submit the TS1 for TS2 set, finally! However, I have cut out a few of the objects that I was going to make. But, the set should have 6-8 objects! I am thinking of making a few recolors too. Now, for the preview:

Easter Sunday Site Premiere
Still not posting the name for now -- the site is still being worked on, and I don't want to be bombarded with "Why isn't this working" or "When's this going to be clickable?!" questions.The main reason that I haven't opened the site to the simming community as yet is because I got into hairmeshing, and got excited about the possibility of being able to feature a few new ones for member downloads.
I have finally decided that--no matter what, the set date for my site to be listed here on my TSR mini-site, and on my myspace page as well http://www.myspace.com/chanteec (including sims 2 groups on myspace that I belong to) will be this Easter Sunday--April 8th, 2007.
I don't care what sections I don't have open, or what more I want to add--I'll do that WHILE the site is open for downloads. No matter what that date is set in stone, so be sure to visit my mini-site again on 4/08/07.
I'm a perfectionist, and if I don't set a date by throwing caution to the wind, this site won't be released until the Sims 3 is out, lol.
By the way, did anyone get a chance to check out the new Harry Potter book cover???! I'm so excited, can't wait.
