This is my opinion and a question.....
I'm not sure this is something I should be putting here, but what the heck. This blog entry is about the movie Ghost Rider. As many of you have guessed I use his image as my avatar. I have liked the Ghost Rider for years, so when I saw they were doing a movie, I got pumped.
Well yesterday my wife and I had the time to go and see it, and my opinion of it was OH WOW!!!!
I'll be honest, is started off a little slow. But that was important for people who don't the the story of the Ghost Rider. But later the action was totally awesome. The way they did the GGI, was fantastic!
I have my favorite parts, which I won't discuss here. I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it. But I am so glad I went.
There are very few movies I am willing to go see at the theater. I just prefer watching them at home on DVD. But this one needs the bog screen.
So for anyone out there who hasn't seen it, and is a comic book fan, GO NOW! It is defiantly worth the money.
Ok, enough of my opinion. Now I have a question for all of you. I have noticed that many of you who took my pole have voted for other things.
What other things do you want to see? Let me know. Just remember I have no idea how to mesh, and I don't have the time to learn at the moment. But go nuts! I am really curious.
Hi my friends, I must say, I have a ot of ideas in my head, what to make for our Simmies, but no time to realize them. I have a lot of work in my business now. I am looking forward to newest EP - Ill receive it tomorrow or day after, hope Ill find some time to play it. Thank you all for your beautiful comments on my creations, I am glad to make somebody happy ! Have a nice days you all around the world and : "See you soon!"
The Sims 2: Seasons
Today I went to Game Stop and purchased The Sims 2: Seasons. YAY YAY YAY! It's probably one of the best expansion packs Maxis has ever released to date (including TS1). :pNow that I have it though, you will be seeing recolors .. recolors of new meshes by creators here at TSR, and Maxis-meshes as well. I'd just like to add that the Maxis meshes in this expansion pack are incredible, and Maxis has done a wonderful job with this new pack. Way to go Maxis!!
Take a rest
Hi all, I will take a little rest for a while being I need to concentrate my school. I still there, so please still come to visit my mini-ste ;) Thanks Judy.St. Patrick's Day Flags
I've been on a little creation hiatus the last week or so - been busy prepping my game for the new Seasons EP release. As of last night all my little Pleasantview families are all set and ready for the installation, I've cleaned out all sorts of downloads that I neither like anymore or never use and have been sorting through a ton of hair files in my efforts to clean up unnecessary ages and pair recolours with meshes. Later tonight I'll make my final backup so I'm ready to install straight away tomorrow when I pick up my copy of the EP. I've also done a ton of housework today (definitely helps keep the mind off the wait). :)And finally, since I know I'm going to be completely engrossed in playing the game over the next few weeks, I've sat down today and put together my St. Patrick's Day flag recolours. I know how you all love these flags and it would be remiss of me to not ensure they're published in time for you to enjoy them. It's a baker's dozen set so there's plenty to choose from.
Sneak Preview...for ELDERS!
Just because your Sims get old, doesn't mean they have to wear ugly clothes and look frumpy! I decided to create some stylish outfits for our elder ladies. Here's a sneak preview: This first set is similar to the denim jacket and jeans that I made for the younger ladies.
Here is another outfit that has stylish blue jeans and a print shirt. These will be available as separate downloads.
These should be available in a few days, so be sure to bookmark me!
Blue Suede Completer Set
A while back someone posted a comment on one of my items mentioning how much they'd love to see a loveseat and sofa version of the Blue Suede armchair. Normally I'd hesitate to size up something that far, but I got curious and took a took at the original mesh and textures anyway. The simple geometric form and slightly-shaded solids of the armchair turned out to be quite easy to resize, in the end. Too bad I can't find the comment again so that we all know who to blame - I mean thank! - for this latest addition to my ever-growing collection of Maxis Match items. One warning about this set however; patterned recolours of the original armchair might not translate too well to these meshes. In particular there's likely to be a lot of stretching across the backs.
Poll results
Since I uploaded my new set, I thought it was time to take the poll down! The question was: 'What you would like me to create next?'| Another living room set | 5.56% (3) |
| A dining room set | 5.56% (3) |
| A set of decorative items | 25.93% (14) |
| A garden furniture set | 35.19% (19) |
| Recolors of my existing items | 11.11% (6) |
| Something else! | 16.67% (9) |
Clearly, the garden furniture set appealed to most of you - it will be posted on Thursday. I hope you'll like it, it's called 'Islay'. Thank you all for voting!
I'm also quite curious what material you like most in furniture, so that's the question in the new poll :)
What I'll make next, I'm not sure of - I have a lot of ideas, but nothing final yet. My boyfriend will be abroad for over a week, so I'll have a lot of time to make stuff :) On the other hand, I just got promoted at work, and I'm expecting crazy work hours again for a few weeks, but I'm quite happy with it nonetheless :) Yay!
Hello and Welcome to my Creative Hub!
Hello! and welcome to my very own Creative Hub! Oh my goodness! I am still speechless and stunned! Today has been one of the most amazing days I have ever had! I nearly feinted when I read that Thomas and TSR had so kindly chosen me to be one of the new group of SA's. It's a dream come true and has filled me with such a creative energy! I would also like to extend the celebrations and hugs to my fellow new SA's! Well done everybody! :D I feel so excited and thrilled. A HUGE thanks and hugs to Thomas and everyone at TSR! :D And a HUGE thank you and hugs to all of the wonderful members who have downloaded my colourful creations. Thank you for your wonderful words of encouragement, and for your inspiration.Georgian Manor Set
Available for download tomorrow, Wednesday 28th Feb, are these two sumptuous Manor Houses. Plenty of room for a large family on a 3x3 lot. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and the kitchen is fully furnished.I recommend replacing the hedges with plastic versions because the gardener will refuse to trim some of them due to the low brick walls I've used.

The Boathouse *Updated*
I made the fatal mistake of tweaking a couple of things on The Boathouse lot AFTER I'd finished testing... after playing with the lot at the weekend, I've updated the file.I've moved a light obstructing access to one of the rose bushes, causing the gardener to leave before finishing all their work. And I've moved the trash which, in my game at least, was causing the maid to stomp and shout and throw rubbish everywhere.
You can either download again or fix these simple issues yourself (just use the move_objects on cheat to turn the trash can round).
The new file is called "The Boathouse (Rev 2)" to differentiate between versions.
So annoying that I did this! Why bother testing if I'm then going to start changing things?! Ah, the pursuit of perfection... :-)
Summery Fun!
Hello everyone! I'm a little bit late in uploading this week (I usually do it on a Sunday!)but better late than never as they say! So here's a set of six summery outfits for your little boys. Hope you like them!
Can't wait to get my hands on the new Seasons EP.....
Preview new set
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! First of all I want to say that I'm really happy to be chosen as a Select Artist. I have only been creating since december 2006 (although I did a little recoloring try-out before, but my graphicscard was so bad I could hardly see the results myself ingame). So I'm really honored that I became a Select Artist after such a short period. Enough about me, I guess you just want to see what my next set will look like, so I will give you a little preview. As you can see it's not completely ready yet. The shadows are still wrong, the metallic texture of the bed needs some adjustment, bedding hasn't been done yet, and I also want to add a dresser, maybe a nightstand, rechecking the code of the slots inside the screen, some minor adjustments of the meshes and txtm-settings. So I still need a couple of days before it's ready. Anyway, I hope you like it.
Thank you!!!
Just a quick thank you to everyone participating in the poll and helping me out there. Also a huge, very deserved thanks to everyone who takes the time to comment on my creations (or simply a "thank the artist"), whether good or not so good. I try to thank everyone individually by signing their guestbook, but it gets overwhelming at times! :) So if you've commented & I haven't gotten to your guestbook just yet, I will try to very soon! I love hearing the compliments, it makes me want to do more...and better. :) (I'm struggling at the moment learning mesh making!)Thank you!
Important Updates!
I just updated the Delightful Daisies' rocking horse recolor. When you download the rocking horse you got the rocking chair instead. This file was corrected on Feb. 26th.
The Robber Baron's Study Green Banker's Table Lamp recolor is now updated with the correct file, and will be re-published on Feb. 27th.
Thanks to Everyone, who notified me of my goofs! I really appreciate your help and patience! :D
Thank You
I have been away for awhile with real life stuff and stopped by today to see what was new and found that I had 152 new comments! Wow! There is no way I can thank each and every one who left me a comment so I thought I would give one big THANKS to all who took the time to leave me a note. I am thrilled to know that my creations have generated some interest.Rachel
Forest Lane Starter Set
I have just finished off a new set of modern starter homes that all look the same from the outside but each has a unique floorplan on the inside so you can pick the one that suits your sims needs. Here is a view of all four starters next to each other in my own game. This set will be published on the 27th of Feb.
Keep voting!
Since the San Paolo Collection was so far ahead once I got finished uploading the Bedroom Accents collections, I just finished uploading the SuperSet for it. But, keep on voting if you haven't yet! It'll decide which one I focus on next. I'm about to delete the San Paolo set from the options so people don't vote for it without realizing that it's already up!Contessa

Wow!
Wow! It's such an honor to become a FA! A huge thanks goes out to Thomas, and to all the wonderful people who enjoy and support my creations! I look forward to sharing many more creations as FA in the future! :)Sorry it's taken me a few days to catch up, I had a bit of computer trouble and couldn't get on. Anyways, I got distracted from my plant set (don't worry, its still coming ;) ) and have been working on this living room. Another huge thanks goes to AnoeskaB for the tutorial on how to add slots to objects!

I reupploaded the charisma bucket, and I think it will be as fun as the toilet as it is now.Opulence
My latest project is a set of opulent lingerie in 9 colour combinations. Each outfit comprises a luxurious satin camisole with boned bodice, lace-covered underwired cups and sexy corset-style lace up back, worn with sexy sheer matching panties with front lace overlay detail and ribbon ties.
These lingerie sets are available for adults and young adults and use a standard Maxis mesh.
Elektric train and magic Smoke
I hope you have seen my toy train published last week. i forgot to write here about it.Tomorrow there will be a new object with effects the sim can turn on and of. A magic smoke item to give the right mystic effect to any medieval or phanthasy lot.
Stepping Back--but not away
Hi all! As you may have noticed, I'm no longer a "Featured Artist." I requested this status because I obviously haven't got the time to create as much as I should (in my mind) to maintain a FA status. Instead I requested the Select status, this way you all still will know to watch for stuff from me. I didn't want to "Retire." Thanks for all of your support!
Plain Rugs
I had a request for some plain rugs. Here is what I've come up with. Which do you like better? The one with the white piping or the rose piping? (Keep in mind, they'll be in all 20/21 colors if you aren't partial to rose.) I'm having trouble making up my mind, but I think 2 sets would be a bit much, since I already have the NK PI Geometric Rugs.
Some News...
I have decided to delay the TS1 for TS2 set. I am going to continue working on it, but I am going to work on other sets and projects at the same time. First, I will be submitting a new recolor set called the Cape Kitchen/Dining Room Set. I hope to submit it this weekend. It is also styled after the color scheme of the Cape Cod counter from TS1 House Party. Also, TS2 Seasons will be out very soon now, and I am suppose to have it on the 1st. So, that means I will begin making Seasons themed sets too!
That's it for now! Happy simming!

Blue Flu
Often I have a real problem knowing what to write in my blog. The words certainly don't come easy,I don't want to ramble on and incessantly go on and on about all the mundane things in my life ,like recently my entire family has been struck down with this awful flu bug that seems to be going around this winter.Easily I can say thats a boring read right?Actually after 2 weeks I am still not completely over it,I been able to create one set at least and hope to get some more done this weekend, before I go back to college and the never ending pile of work.
Reading around various places lately, there seems to be a lot of discontent and negative feelings not just in the sims gaming community, but in general. I cant understand why really, because we have more in our lives now than we ever have.Maybe that is the problem who knows perhaps we have to much? All I know is,life is to short.
Chteau de Chenonceau
So, here it is. I present the Chteau de Chenonceau, sims-style. Out tomorrow (Saturday 23rd); a huge personal project for me that is thankfully now complete! You can find lots of pics in this thread in the TSR Showrooms. This lot is based on the gorgeous Chteau de Chenonceau. It's a VERY simplified version as the real chteau is quite ornate. It was something that I very much wanted in my own game. The interior is that of a grand hotel, with a smart lobby with barista; fine dining; a bar and poker; a library, gym and spa and four individual ensuite bedrooms.
It's built on a 4x5 lot. It will run on a mid-level computer but you will need to take some time to whip out some of the decor, furnishings etc There are four heavily furnished bedrooms, for example; you may find you only need one. As I said, I made it for me and I'm sharing for fun, so I make no apologies for the fact that it runs best on a powerful computer. ;-)
Here's the exterior:

I won't post many pics here as it's difficult just to pick out one or two! They're all clearly labelled in the forum thread, so nip in there and have a look, if you have time.
The lobby:

The gym/spa/shopping/makeover area:

And the dining area:

I'll be back soon with a few pics of how the lot was built for those of you that are interested.
Bye for now!
Tiger :-)
Maxis Match Kitchen Appliances
There Here.... Starting next week, I will be uploading appliances in maxis match woods & my wood recolors. Stove, Refrigerators, dish washers, trash compactor, coffee maker, expresso maker, food processor, trash can, etc. Most all of the appliances in maxis will be recolored. ENJOY!!!!The Benniest Chat and Forum
As few of you know, I am currently in the process of creating my own forum .. The Benniest. As you will see directly from clicking on the link, it is still offline, but with the help of rsdworker and sim_man123, both members here at TSR, we hope to soon have it online and running!Tuesday night I submitted a Live Chat Application to TSR, requesting my own chatroom on TSR's Server. I waited 2 nights, until finally getting a chance to talk to tug, in private, about the application and getting my own chatroom.
IT WAS ACCEPTED!
I now own the chatroom, #thebenniest on TSR's: irc.thesimsresource.com server.
Drop by sometime and keep a look out for the opening of The Benniest!
Benny Boy
Almost Open
I'm holding back on putting out my new site's name, for the simple reason that I'm still uploading files, and pictures onto it. So far, I have the "free downloads" section chock full of new eye colors, skintones, walls, flooring, and even terrain. I just need to add the free clothing (and I promise free does not equal badly made on this site, quite the contrary). The site name will be listed on a blog here this weekend (I know I've said that a million times before, but I promise! This weekend!) and the free section will be available for download by anyone (maxis object recolors coming later). The members section will be coming in about another week, and (as I said a million times before) will feature hair/clothing/object meshes made by me, and recolors for those meshes. Any logo or brandname recolors will be posted here at TSR (there aren't that many of them), but the base mesh will have to be downloaded in the "members only" section, and once again, that will be $3.00 for 30 days of unlimited downloads, through Paypal. (Object meshes coming later)
Any questions, or requests, feel free to drop me a line.
See ya soon =)

What is a MESH and Why do I Need it?
I recently received a private message asking me what a mesh is and I realized that there are probably a lot of people out there who don't really understand about meshes. I know I've gotten several messages from people telling me that they can't find the mesh or telling me that my items won't work and then come to find out, they didn't download the mesh. So I decided to copy/paste my response here in the hopes of helping others who don't quite understand what a mesh is and why they need it. I love your clothes and I pretty much downloaded them all to my Sims2, but can you help me?!?! I don't know what that "Mesh" thing is!!! :( Hmmm...let's see if I can explain it to you. :) The mesh is actually the 3D model or structure that everything in the Sims is based on. There are clothing meshes and object meshes and anything else you might see in the game. When you are dealing with a clothing mesh, some people actually think of it as the article of clothing they just downloaded, but what you SEE is actually the "texture" or the "recolor" of the base mesh model. Everything you download requires a mesh for it to work in your game. Some clothing recolors (and object recolors) are based on meshes that are already included in the game which is why the artists will usually tell you if a custom mesh is required. For example, if someone writes in their item description "recolor of an outfit from the base game" or "requires Nightlife" (or whatever expansion pack) means that the mesh is already in your game if you have the required expansion pack. If someone writes "you must get the mesh from whatever site for this to work in your game", then you have to click on the link provided below the description and follow the directions to where the mesh can be downloaded. One thing to keep in mind...(and this is something a lot of people have trouble with)...the mesh may not look exactly like the outfit that you downloaded originally. This is because artists can further manipulate the texture to create the desired look but still use the same basic mesh. I have people sending me messages all the time that they couldn't find the mesh when in fact, the directions I gave them were very clear. They just didn't recognize the mesh when they saw it. Also, meshes are normally a single color depending on what color the artist uses for a temporary texture. (usually white, gray, or black) The mesh itself won't actually show up in the game unless it has a texture. Let me see if I can show you a couple of examples so that you will understand better. Here is a picture of one of my latest sets that I uploaded a couple days ago.
Now here's the picture of the actual MESH file.
As you can see, they look very different, but for my denim outfit to work, you must download the mesh which is the base for which the recolor is built on. You can also see that I modified the texture quite a bit by making it a long sleeved outfit and changing the neckline. But you can't let that fool you whenever you are looking for the right mesh to download. What you have to look at is the BASIC SHAPE of the outfit. This trips a lot of people up unfortunately.
Here's one more example:
A shorts outfit I created.
And the mesh:
On this example too, you can see that my outfit looks very different from the mesh...but the BASIC SHAPE is the same.
Hopefully, this will help you to begin to make sense of all this mesh business and get back down to the business of downloading my creations!
Let me know if you have anymore questions.
Robin
Of elves, recolors and requests...
Its February, and in my world it means only one thing - exams, exams and more exams...Ok, thats three things, but you get the point. Still, between all those books I have to read and numerous definitions to learn and remember, I found some time to pitch in for this months FA theme - fantasy! The "Avalons Daughter" hair set is definitely not one of my finest works (I just remodeled my "Simple Delight" hair set, tweaked it a bit and made it longer), but it looks OK in the game so I decided to publish it anyways. Maybe someone will actually like it... The model in the preview is using Louis` fantastic elf ear accessory, which you can download from Sim Scribbling. Great work, I tell you!
As for all those PM`s asking me if I could make this or that, or if I allow recoloring of my textures, I believe its time for me to give an answer to these questions. Every FA has his or her own policy, so I figured I should explain my POW on that.
Recoloring - Sorry, guys and girls, but Im not that positive when it comes to it. Its quite easy to take someones texture that took hours to be made and just change its color and lightness, publish it and get all the glory. Not very artistic, wouldnt you say? If you really want to recolor my creations, feel free to do so, but dont publish them. This, however, doesnt mean that you cant use my meshes to make your own textures for them. On the contrary! Each mesh maker loves to see how his or her mesh inspired someone to make a creation that looks different from the original work. Im actually kind of sad b/c I didnt notice anyone making new textures for my meshes. But I hope that will change soon...**hint hint**
Requests - I sure would love to have the time to make requests, but Im afraid I dont. With real life, college and all I barely have the time to make creations of my own, so at this point requests are just wishful thinking... I hope that some day this will change, and if it does, Ill be sure to let you know.
There it is. Now, if you would excuse me, I have some boring Q&A paper to read...Man, Im having so much fun in my life. Somebody stop me...
Feb. 23rd, Victorian Inspired Sofa Collection
Due to a problem with updating the Victorian Inspired Sofa Collection's mesh file the set is temporarily unavailable. I will re-publish the set and its revised mesh file on Feb. 23rd. Thanks!WOW!
I'm thrilled to become a Select Artist! Thankyou all so much! Hope you find something you like here and thanks alot for visiting my homepage! Take care....CatCool!
Hey, look at the big silver thing over there! Isn't that cool! Thanks to Thomas and Anita and Per and all the rest of the staff at TSR that have been so helpful! And thanks also to you wonderful people who keep coming back and getting more of my things for your little people! I really appreciate it. I'll try to live up to the recognition.Building Simple Japanese Roofs
OK! I've set the first tutorial on Japanese Roofs for publication on Monday next (26 February). This is because I wanted to allow time to publish a large set of Japanese/Chinese roof tiles I've made, which everyone can use in following the tutorial! ;) Here's the preview pic for the tutorial, which is for Single-level roofs:
Marquise
This is a set of ballgowns / bridal gowns in 10 colour combinations. Each gown has a draped empire bustline with intricate beaded embroidery, boned strapless bodice & full taffeta skirt gathered into flounces with glistening beading detail. Inspired by a Mori Lee prom gown.
The gowns can be worn by adults and young adults and require Chriko's beautiful WideGown mesh from 2-f0r-u.de. The WideGown mesh is on page 2 of the meshes section.
