New Theme: Witching Hour
Shell out! Shell out! This witch is out! :DI *LOVE* Hallowe'en!
Summer is now past and it's time to change my mini site theme so if the burn-your-eyes-out orange was getting on your nerves, you're in luck! For the month of October you'll enjoy dull grey and a host of spooks and ghouls, such as my little white tiger me, complete with fangs and furry little ears - aren't I cute? :P
As you can see, I had oodles of fun making the new theme and likewise have a wide selection of Hallowe'en Sims goodies to share with you all, starting with my new feline eye sets being released shortly. Later on this month you'll find a new selection of Wiccan jewellery to outfit your Sims with, at least one new cemetery and what can only be described as possibly one of the most original business retail lots you may well find but I'm keeping that one under wraps for a fun surprise. :)
I've been creating sims2 contents for almost 2 years! I can say that I've improved a lot since then. I always cringe when I see those early works. Back then, I haven't figured out the bodyshop zoom controls that's why the seams weren't perfect...ugh! Now I spend a lot of time aligning the seams making sure that the front and the back connects.
Anyway, I boldly submitted my first works here at TSR on Nov. 2004. I think you can see how my work has progressed through the years, as I submitted most of my stuff here, until I got the chance to set up my own site. I have been creating stuff on and off since then.
Well, I hope you enjoyed my previous works, and will get to enjoy my future works as well.
Coming Up
The upcoming set contains five meshes and some recolors. The vanity table on the right is one of the new mesh. I have to speed up, hope can finish the set before my son's first day going to play group! I will need to stay with him the first three days... |

About my mini site
I was given a mini site... but I have nothing on it! Kinda silly, right? Well I am going to try to recreate my alien experiment here. Since I lost the pictures on my thread, it needs to be updated somewhere. We'll see how it goes. My readers will have to read the blog backwards to see the genetics progress. Do you think you can handle that? I hope so. ;)So I will attempt to begin... Wish me luck!
More Marley Wentworth
I'll be finishing off the Marley Wentworth girl's fashions for this next week. I didn't get as many done this past week as I wanted to because I bought the Battlestar Galactica Season 2.5 DVD box set and got a bit sidetracked. So more girl's fashions are on the way.

Bathrooms
Decided to do some bathrooms. Found a nice mesh at tarox4sims2, the badantik set, 8th from the bottom. Going to work backwards and TRY to do one to match my grow-up sets. So far, Sesame Street is going well and should be published this coming week. Enjoy!Victorian Inspired Kitchen Decorative Objects
It always pays to double check your set uploads. I almost forgot to include a few recolor. Somehow, my Victorian Inspired Kitchen Part IV set has grown to 24 objects. Everyday I think of something new to create for the kitchen. I love creating decorative objects, but enough already! Some Stuff
I would just like to say a few things this week.First, it is now officially the 30th here (it's midnight though), but it doesn't look like I will have the Autumn Stuff Mini Pack up today. All the meshes are finished, but I have to finish making the recolors, and some other stuff. I should have it this week, if not next weekend.
Second, I probably will not be putting the Autumn stuff mini pack up on a Yahoo! Group. I will probably be putting it up on my website instead.
Third, since October is only a day away, expect some new creations to be uploaded here this month. I will be starting with 3/4 neighborhoods.
That's all I have to say for now...

New Bedding On The Way
I made a bunch of original bedding designs a while back and wasn't quite happy with the shadows - they looked too flat. I finally got them to my liking and am excitedley uploading them as I type. And, to toot my horn, they look real nice in the game. If only I could find the time to play :)Can't wait to see what you guys think!
Feline Eye Sets
I may have seemed quiet lately but that assumption couldn't be further from the truth. In fact, I've been busily working on a number of projects behind the lines but more on those details at a later date when they're closer to fruitition. Now, the real reason for this post. I sat down today and created brand spankin' new feline eyes. :) In fact, you will have not just one set to choose from but a whopping three - regular feline eyes, default replacement feline eyes and finally feline contact lenses! In fact, you need not limit yourself to using these eyes just for cat Sims - they work well for all sorts of anthropomorphic (animal) Sims so get creative and test them out.
As you can see, the sets come in 5 colours, including yellow, green, blue, orange and brown. I've even set these up to have dominance/resessiveness properties that reflect the most common occurances of eye colour in cats, so yellow and green are dominant while blue, orange and brown are resessive and you should see this reflected for the most part in your games. :)
I expect these sets will release either this coming Saturday or Sunday, just in time for October and Hallowe'en, my favourite celebration!
Happier Now
OK. I think I have all the existing kitchens updated. Sorry it took so long.I've been having an issue where I could not see my custom banner. Not that it's that great a banner, but I couldn't see anyone else's either. Found the problem. McAfee Privacy Service. Go to Options, Block Ads and there are two checkboxes. Block Ads on this computer and Block Pop-Ups on this computer. I unchecked Block Ads and can now see the banners. Thought I'd put this here in case anyone else has this problem.
Autumn colors
Shades of autumn in white moldings, the second in the series. Be sure to find the matching floor tiles for these walls.
Next tutorial - on Gambrel Roofs
What the dickens is a gambrel roof? - I maybe hear someone say! (BTW, as you may have noticed, tutorials aren't showing in our 'Coming Soon' sidebars (yet?!), so I'll keep adding them to my blog.) Well, I put a wee Preface to this tutorial explaining, and showing some examples. They're now most common in North America so most guys there will know. It's a roof with 2 different slopes each side - 'gambrel' comes from gamba (latin) = leg, so it kind of means "bent at the knee"! As always, a pic is better than a hundred words:
Victorian Inspired Kitchen Part IV
Finally! Victorian Inspired Kitchen Part IV, is scheduled for publication October 1st. At this time the set includes 19 objects, several new meshes, in addition to recolors. Happy Simming!Teens Ruffle Skirt
Another body mesh - teens ruffle skirt. A bit different from girls skirt, just one layer, but I think this style works better for teens. Still testing this one, plus need more recolors. Watch my October calendar if you wish to get this mesh.
A Few Preview Shots
I just created a few more objects, which are decorative for the Victorian Inspired Kitchen, Part IV set. Some of the new objects are decorative plates and potholders set, knives set, utensils, and a few more kitchen objects. Here are a few screenshots.
New Clothes SOON!
It's been awhile since I've written anything! I've got lots of new clothes but I'm having trouble uploading to the site. I know the great folks here at TSR are working on it--so I'll be excited to get all the new things submitted soon!Working on new set
Everything is settled, it's time for me to get back to my position in here. I have an idea about a new kid set; it's in my mind for three months already. That will be the next series I am going to submit here. In the meantime, I am making new kitchen items for the "Pinewood Series", and the next will be dining room items, than living room Guess my new kid set will just pending until the whole Pinewood Series is finished! Please come back in a few days for the new set! |
My first tutorial
I've written a tutorial for one method of adding an alpha part to a body mesh. I'm planning on writing a second tutorial as well, using a cloned part.Bright
Here a preview of my Sunbright kids room,When I made the main screenshot, I forgot I hadn't included the bedding. So here it is!
Where Am I?
For those of you who have dropped by from time to time, you'll probably note that its now late September, and I haven't submitted anything since June. It'll probably stay that way. I got a promotion...I'm now a High School principal, and my time with my family becomes ever-so-much-more important, as my hobby time is down to nearly nothing.
When I do have some time, I'm spending it on some other projects; my vocal group (The Four Dots and a Dash), the Viking novel I've been working on (for the last six years...nearly finished chapter one)and my fireworks business (yes, I sell fireworks in the summer).
For those in the community who know me, and I'm not very personable online, I still hang around. I still donate here and there, and I am still browsing and amazed at the things being created by this community. It's top-notch, and I'm very proud to have been a part of it all.
Big props to Xandher. She has been my buddy throughout good times and bad.
Fionn
Good new, everybody!
That now that image problem has been fixed, now one set of T028 is currently pending and also, I made a converted clothes that young adult has, now adult and elder can have same clothes young adult has, it is baggy clothes, I use same texture that teenager baggy clothes has, you know, the light blue one. No mesh needed but Uni is required. My recolored Sunair's T028's mesh.
Hi, I justed finished recoloring sunair T028 mesh and it is now binned. But I'm not uploading it til TSR has been fixed due to missing image problem. But blog picture work. So, here the set.
Marley Wentworth
Since my kids are now back in school(my son is in 5th grade and my daughter is in 4th grade) I thought this would be a good time to make some clothes for my Sim children and yours. So this week's project is some skins for girls, based on the Marley Wentworth dolls by the Tonner Doll Company.

Rules of recoloring my creation.
Rule 1: If you are recoloring my clothes, you can but you cannot change pattern, design, and logo in anyway, that is mean that you can't change shape or design of pattern, design and logo but you can recolor it.Rule 2: About changing my alpha texture for clothing, hair, make-up, and eye. You cannot edit alpha texture no matter what because if you recoloring my make-up, eye, clothes, and hair. I would like see alpha texture stay the way I made.
Rule 3: If you recolor my clothes, hair, make-up, and eye. You always must give an proper credit to me.
Rule 4: If you want to add an shine to my hairstyle, that is ok with me.
Rule 5: If you want to to upload the sim to here, at TSR. With your sims wearing my clothes, hair, eye, and make-up. Sure, you can but important rules is that you always must give an proper credit to me.
Rule 6: If you want to submit an screenshot or story with your sims wearing my creation, (hair, clothes, eye, etc) Sure! You can because I will be more happy if you submit an screenshot or story with my creation inside it, you can and you don't have to give an credit to who made this creation.
The REAL Lord Tiko
Some of you have asked about our cat, Lord Tiko. He's a Birman. The breed is originally from Thailand. He's 11, and was a bit of a tough boy when younger, but recently I've learned how much cats love learning tricks - almost as much as dogs! Boy, I wish I'd known this earlier on. ;) So far we have all kinds of games with him rolling over and putting his paws in the air or lying on one side - he responds to gestures more than words so I point or wave. And he loves games with rituals, like taking the morning coffee up to Ruth (who's fast asleep in bed!). He purrs like a motorbike as we go up the stairs, and leaps on her in bed then lies next to her! Here he is:
Update to Victorian Kitchen III - Skillets and Pot Mesh
New and improved, I did not like the appearance of the inside of my skillets mesh. The inside of the original mesh had ridges, see the before picture below. Therefore, with a little bit of tweaking to the mesh I achieved a smoother look to the mesh. The updated package is now available for download here http://www.thesimsresource.com/artists/Cashcraft/downloads/sims2/?ID=356542
For Those Who Asked
After I posted pictures of my "Cream Cheese Pound Cake" mesh file, a few people requested the recipe. Hope you enjoy the recipe, beware of the calories, LOL.Cream Cheese Pound Cake
3 cups of flour
3 cups of sugar
6 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-8 oz. package of cream cheese
1-teaspoon almond extract (optional)
Dash of salt
3 sticks of unsalted butter
Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy, add vanilla and almond extract. Add soften cream cheese to mixture. Alternately mix in 1 egg at a time with flour, and dash of salt. Pour batter into 10-inch Bundt pan and bake at 300 to 325 degrees 60 to 75 minutes or until golden brown and center of cake is done.
Oh yeah!
So my husband and I made a deal about me getting his computer. He broke his end of it, so I am back! The only thing this baby needs is some more RAM, but I'm just gonna have to wait a few months for that. I'll be uploading some skins based on a mesh from the Glamour pack today, and then I'll get back to working on that kitchen. After that, I'll be attempting to mesh some couches. Living rooms are not my strong suit, so this has been a challenge. But I'm not meshing just any couches. I'm meshing my own couches. So this'll be fun. The hardest part so far has been getting the poly count down.
But here's a quick preview for you:

Oh, and here's the inspiration for the kitchen that I'm attempting to mesh right now:
Minisite has been borned
Hi! I justed bought the minisite today and it has been born, also, I am working on those three red top with logo. I hope it didn't got rejected, hehehe. Here the image of one of three top.
FIREFOX
Well, somehow my internet explorer got totally corrupted. So for now, I'm using Fire Fox. I didn't realize that it was Internet explorer (I'm 85% sure it is anyway) that is causing my problems. Actually, to be specific, I think it was the google toolbar because it updated yesterday. I'll have to fix it. But I'm too sick to do it today. Sigh.Link Change!
! Just a note to anyone downloading any of the Solander Modern Kitchen Recolors that are already published. The link to the meshes has changed. The new location ishttp://www.pimp-my-sims.com/en/downloads/sets/kitchen/index.html.
Use that to locate the mesh. I will eventually update all the existing items, but right now I have to concentrate on updating all the ones I have not released yet. So I wanted to provide this heads up until it all gets updated.
Up and Running!
Ah! Finally have my new computer set up! It has taken me a week to redownload all the programs/stuff I lost (I do mean I lost EVERYTHING, all my precious textures and links, etc) .... but I am now ready to begin building again ... it is so lovely to have a new, powerful computer ... I am most impressed by my new grahics card ... the detail in my Sims2 game is awesome and I am enjoying it beyond belief! Now back to the drawing board to create, create, create! Since October is right around the corner .... perhaps I'll start with something .... hmmm .... spooky!A Tip
Just a small tip. I've known for a long time that you could hit Escape during the start-up movie and bypass it. (I have mine removed at the moment.) But I didn't know until recently that when the screen takes a tour around the neighborhood, if you're in a hurry you can also hit Escape during that and it will settle to its final position.Oakland Raiders
By request, I have created a set of three more Oakland Raiders jerseys in numbers 18, 24 and 32.
My next set (again by request) will comprise four more NFL American football jerseys for four new teams. There will be a slight delay in making these as I'm having a short break away next week to re-charge my batteries. I hope to get around to making the new jerseys when I return.
