Get ready to shop!

My newest set is almost ready and will be published in a few days. Get ready for a whole new way of designing your (OFB)shops! Modernise your shops with several new types of shelves: small, large, round and straight, wall shelves and even some counterdisplays that realy can hold objects to be sold. Included are also a new counter that matches the new shelves and some advertising displays. To fill your shop with some nice salesware (or just to decorate your houses ofcourse), I've also made a whole set decorative objects in all kinds of trendy colors. Several of them are stackable, like the cushions and baskets. They stack them in normal shops, and soon you can also stack them in your Sims shop. All objects (even the shelves) are cloned from base-game objects, so they should also work if you don't have OFB.

Simphany Up-and-Running Again

To all who tried accessing the site for the past week, and sent me messages about when it would be back up again, I've reopened it as of yesterday afternoon.

Very sorry about the inconvenience, and for those subscribers who joined beforehand, I have sent you notices to inform that you have been given a free month of membership for the inconvenience.

I've changed the layout a bit, and also changed the member section (you can now preview each individual download).

The site is still being worked on, but for the most part, it's up-and-running rather nicely (double-checking on everything today, just to be sure that everything runs smoothly).

There are also free meshes being offered (two that I haven't featured here on TSR).

Georgian Set

This set of two lots requires no expansion packs. It's all Maxis content. There are two unfurnished houses on one lot - and a single house on the starter lot. I quite like the slightly grittier look to these Georgian houses, so I may do more if they are popular. If you've downloaded my Georgian Starter Set, you will find that these houses are very similar in build.

And for those who like basements, I've pre-dug them on the Georgian Duo lot. To gain access just follow these simple instructions:



Just take out the four floor tiles next to the stairs:



Add some modular stairs:



And you will have access to the basement, to which you can then add a floor and wallpaper:

Lots with no EPs required

I've had a few requests for lots that don't require certain expansion packs. And for some that require none at all. Sometimes this is possible - and I try to use as few EPs as possible where I can - but at other times, I need a certain EP to use the half-walls (NL); certain windows or features (such as the square ones in OFB) or certain build cheats.

Sometimes when I release a set, I include a starter that doesn't require as many EPs. There's a modern one coming up in the middle of May. So please check the EP requirements on each individual lot. Also coming up are two Georgian lots which require NO EPs. Depending on how popular these are, I may do more.

I'm also going to repeat the info I included a while ago in my blog. This was written pre-Seasons. If you find this works with the Maxis Seasons Installer too, please let me know!

Installing Lots for which you do not have all the EPs:

There are two possible ways to install lots for which you don't have all the EPs. Read on! Please back up your data if you're trying either of these methods for the first time (although I haven't heard of any problems so far). But I don't want to be held responsible for any problems with your game, ok?!

If you have Pets installed, you should be able to use the Maxis Installer to install ANY lot, whether or not you have the correct EPs. This works for both Macs and PCs. Of course, items from the EPs you DON'T have will be missing. So, if you don't have the correct windows, the building won't have windows. Same goes for furniture. With doors, it seems that the game will replace them with a door from the base game.

If you don't have Pets but are using a PC, you can use Clean Installer to install lots for which you have the last EP. That is, if a lot requires Uni, NL and OFB, as long as you have OFB, the lot should install for you. Once again, items from the EPs you DON'T have will be missing.

I hope that helps some of you who've contacted me wishing you could install a certain lot for which you don't have the EPs.

Sintesi Bedroom Recolours

The Sintesi Bedroom seems to have been quite popular. Thanks to everyone who downloaded it and thanks A LOT to everyone who commented on it. It's strange, but after a good month of work, when I was going to upload it, I was afraid that maybe nobody would have liked it. So thanks to you all. Now I've made a couple of recolours, so that you can have more choices (even in your readings, if you don't like Harry Potter ;) ). I hope you like them too. I'm planning to make at least another recolour in more neutral colours soon, but since I've not begun working on it yet, I'm open to suggestions and requests. And of course everybody is welcome to recolour all my items: Momama has already made a really nice recolour of the Sintesi Bedroom for the Texture Challenge.

Mistress - The Jolly Nice Gal to Live Near...

Ok, Im Stumped! WHY has my X hubby gone and bought a house quite literally round the corner from me? why why whyyyyyyy Delilah? ahem... sorry about that. Seriously.. Why??!! There were millions of em to choose from so why move from another town BACK, not only to the same town, but quite literally, If i wasnt such a girl at throwing, would quite literally be a stones throw away from my own house? (Have you ever noticed that?! At school us girls could quite literally slaughter and butcher each other with hockey sticks, whacking each others shins with the cricket like ball, Blacken our eyes and bloody our noses playing Netball, yet just the simple act of throwing a tennis ball or any object for that matter results in a pathetic wildly inaccurate lobbing that goes nowhere near its intended target?!)

Anyway, indeed, Mr Xhub has now bought a house slightly too close for comfort. Rather than look on the negatives I will just have to assume that I must just be such a thoroughly nice gal, and such a fab neightbour. Nor shall we dwell on the fact that 6 years later and the aforementioned has yet to find an "other" let alone a Significant one. As long as he doesnt become "Stalker 3" Im okay with it... You know, I could write a novel about my life, It would beat hands down the likes of Corrie (or for those in the US, liken it to The Bold & the Beautiful or Dallas type sagas albeit not as "posh" and with no oil.. unless you consider the X's skin type and greasy hair of course...)

Ive had 2 Stalky type slightly obsessives. The first, in my dating times, forgot to tell me of his betrothal to another lady, and once Mistress was informed of this little faux pas, 1 unceremonial public dumping later, and Stalker 1 was formed, Cue sad figure lurking around my place of work to "talk" and upon discovering I had a new Beau, lots of bizarre text messages about how well "The Fog is Lifting" Stalker 2 was well aware of my then, and current Beau yet he had a perchant to tell everyone how in love he was, accidental meetings and so forth that escalated to the point where he was desperate to know if David was living with me or not by sending some poor chap on a mission to my house, to explain that due to a horrid car accident, he was suffering from acute amnesia and needed to know who was living in my house as well as me and the poor chap became very flustered when I remarked about the sheer detail he was able to recount for someone with amnesia... he suddenly felt the need to go and rushed down the street to speak with Stalker 2, thankfully never to be seen again... Luckily neither of these 2 had very much sense between them, and thus it never got really bad, just a bit sad!

Im doing that waffling thing again, so I shall stop for now, and wonder what tales of the bizarre I can come up with for the next installment of my Blog...

Next time on the Blog... Mistress discovers the joy (?!) of Gardening.. My Neighbours are Vigilante's and they all hate me.. and Mistress gives away Dave's entire Vinyl record collection.

Well That's It - Sort Of

Well, that's the last of the Turano sets - or is it? Actually, I have two more things coming out for the Turano. One is an add-on pack in dark red that matches AnoeskaB's original recolor. The other was a round-about user request. A Turano set in black and white. Combined with some of the items in AnoeskaB's other recolor, it provides some really interesting effects. I think you'll like it.

The Calypso sets will be coming up this week. It seems that at least some of you didn't mind looking for meshes for the Mundy set. I hope that will be true for Calypso.

Other things will be coming around the bend, too, so I'll try and keep it interesting.

If you have an idea, let me know. Usually I can fit things in.

So far ideas from other people have proven to be pretty popular.

I'm a bit behind in thanking the mesh-makers for the objects I've downloaded to make things with, so until I get the time to do that, here is a big Thank You to you. I appreciate you doing what I cannot. At least, not yet.
