I made some deco plates, like the one on the coffeetable. I've also adjusted the sofa so it's ok now. I will also work more on the wall lamp before it's finished.

Sims 3 Creations

Hi y'all! I just published my first Sims 3 sets! They are the Modern Living Curtain and Chloe Dining Collection. I am getting familiar with TSR Sims 3 Workshop and learning how to create the different types of textures, which are required for Sims 3 objects. I have to admit creating for Sims 3 is challenging, but it’s also a lot of fun! I can’t wait to start my next Sims 3 project; I think I'm ready to create something Victorian, LOL!

HELP! Break it or Fix it?!

*cough* ((pls take note that this has homosexual relationship issues content - no homophobic hypocrites allowed, thanks)) *cough*

Firstly, you can all call me Zen =] and well, Zen has a tinie lil problem. I've been in a relationship with a friend, let's call her Hibari (her last name), and so far, I'm not really that happy. No matter what effort I do to make things work for us, I always end up getting hurt.

When I arrange a date, a certain friend of hers always pops out - ALWAYS. Then few minutes later, they'll act like THEY're on a date and forget all about me.

Next is, she's friends with an enemy of mine. I really should be considerate and let her have time with that friend, but still. When she's with that friend, its as if she forgets about me...or even her other friends.

Third is when she said she'll help me shop for Christmas gifts, and then bailed out on the last minute coz she saw her own group of friends

Another one is when she went to the mall with this guy (also a friend of mine, which HURTS) secretly. She told me that she's still in school, while that guy texsted me that he's on the train when in truth is that they're together.

And now tonight, she never texted me a kind "hello, how are you?" but had the time to group message about her "happiness" of being allowed to go to some concert with her friends >_>

The list goes on...

I know that I should be considerate and let her be with her friends but she barely spends time with me...hell, we didn't even have a decent convo today.

If you're gonna ask how we end up...well that's a long story. But tell you what. I already had a long term crush on her. And that faithful night, when we got trapped at school...she chose to stay by my side over anyone else for the whole night - despite the fact that her "friends" are there. That's when I decided that I might as well give it a shot.

But now...it's more than choosing them over me...it's like I don't exist. D= sad~

Family Cottage

I wanted to try a small family craftsman cottage that was base game compatible (for a change).  Easier said than done, considering I'm a custom-content fanatic, with, oh....  2,427 building modifications available in my library.  It was a tough struggle, especially since I didn't even want to use any EA expansion sets.  But I did manage to pull through, although I had to consult my design books more than once to get some cool colour combinations.

Okay, it's a bit more expensive than a starter home, but here is: a beautiful small-lot family cottage by Qube Design that is BASE GAME compatible. It's fully furnished and decorated with a sophisticated colour palette, but still comfortable for family living. Upstairs are 3 large bedrooms (the master suite features a fireplace and private sun-room) and a big family bath decorated in dramatic black and taupe. On the main floor, there is an intimate family living room / library with a cozy fireplace and French doors leading to the deck and pool, a large family dining room (with the requisite mirror for good Feng Shui), and a dramatic kitchen with attached breakfast room. The fully developed basement features a quiet study, gym, second full bath and home theatre room with a French door leading outside. A detached garage and fully landscaped yard compliments the cottage-like exterior built of stone and cedar shakes. The only custom content photographed with this lot is the art collection owned by my SIMs (sorry, I just couldn't help myself...  it's like candy... really...). Btw, I've already transplanted this house on a larger lot, and am working on wonderful lakeside retreat.

Latest Project Update

Hi everyone!  After spending several weeks dividing my time between three different projects, I am finally narrowing my efforts down to one.  Things are moving along smoothly.   I will make an announcement and post some preview pictures later today, so check back!  Until then "Happy Simming!" 

I'm Baaa-aaaaaack!

Funnily enough, work hasn't slowed down for me yet (it normally does this close to Turkey Day), but I've missed being here over the past few weeks and can't hold off any longer. :) I've just submitted my first TS3 community lot, which is pending approval right now. It fits really well into downtown Riverview - I had the plan a few weeks ago to give Riverview a complete makeover, including its center, but now that a tool for creating your own 'hoods has been announced, I think this is the last lot I'm going to make that has one particular neighborhood in mind. I'm planning on building my own neighborhood once that tool comes out, and when I do, I'm going to make sure all of my lots are a standard lot size (such as 20x30 or 40x40). If I DO end up making the size of a lot unusual, I'm going to make sure it's a size that fits in either Sunset Valley or Riverview as well. That way, no one will be forced to download my neighborhood to use my lots (if I even decide to put up my neighborhood on TSR, that is). Anyway, those are my plans for the future, and I hope you all will enjoy my upcoming community lot!

After almost 1 month..

I will continue my story. I had not much time because I must go to school and so on :)

OMGosh!

And holy cow! I was approved! lol

First, I want to thank all the wonderful artists here at TSR for all the lovely content!

Second, I would like to apologize to them!  I submitted 2 lots yesterday, and it wasn't until after I had "talked" to Cyclonesue that I learned that the CC was included in the downloads, and that those "linkbacks" didn't mean that the downloader had to download that CC separately.  I frantically PM'd all the artists whose CC I used in the lots for permission to use said CC.  But, it was still after the fact, and for that I do honestly apologize, and it will not happen again!!

Cyclonesue explained a lot about TSRAA CC and all the assorted other bits-and-bobs, and for that I thank her!!

I thought the submission process would take many days, and that I, honestly, would be rejected for revision or some-such thing... but I woke up this morning to find that both lots I submitted were approved.  BOTH! Holy cow and OMGosh!

I can honestly say that "Clutter-free Living" took me almost 100 hours to complete - to my liking. And I hope to the downloaders liking too!  "Tumbledowns" took me over 50 hours to complete...  and I hope it's enjoyed too!

If anyone reads this, and you're not a subscriber {don't know if that's possible - for a non-subscriber to read this}... if the 2 lots are well received, I might strip them down of the FA custom content and submit a version for non-subscribers. 

For any "newbie" - like me - to submitting, ignorance of the "rules" is no excuse for not following the rules... and for doing just that, I am apologizing to the FA's and SA's and artists!  I am sorry.  Now, it will not happen again!

To Cyclonesue... THANK YOU for all the advice and help you have given me, and I will try not to bug you again! {Too much anyway ;)  }.. 

Thanks again to all the creators! Wonderful stuff!  You all make the game fun for people like me that are to computer illiterate to create our own custom content!

Sports wear, Athletic wear for male and female sims?

Does anyone know of any artisits that have created and Sports wear/Athletic wear for male and female sims?  I have searched for these items and haven't come across any as of yet.  Please let me know where to locate such items as there are so few in the game and they are pretty much generic and plain.  Thanks!    Diana

Or should I just keep them to myself? I'm asking these questions because I feel I'm not making a contribution to the site. Small thing, but it's more a self preservation thing. So, do you? What sort of things do you want to see?
