Awh, that is really sad about how you are not continuing your story but it happens to the best of us. The crash of the game and loss of important characters. I have had it happen as well. Oh well, I am sure whatever you decide to write next will be just as enjoyable. I cant wait (: Have a good dayyy.

Hey Leni! I'm so sorry to hear that you won't be able to continue your story. It is a diffcult and tedious, and sometimes damn right dangerous, task of reinstalling everything. Just know that I really enjoyed the first few chapters and I hope that this horrible hiccup will not stop you from writing another story. When you are ready of course. $\:\)$ Did you loose your sims somewhere in the process or you just couldn't load them up? I had a major panic attack last night with Will & Eliza. My game kept crashing to the desktop everytime I tried to exit CAS. I reloaded 4 times and then saved as soon as I went back in. I then went into CAS and made some changes and finally it didn't crash when I exited. I think it was because I had done the whole reinstall and they were like a new game/family to um, my game and maybe it didn't recognize them or something. It was weird and annoying. Hey (((Leni))) so sorry to hear about your game! I know the feeling very well and have created images of my game now, even before installing a patch, I create a new one so that all my hard work won't be lost - you do need a lot of storage for this though... I hope that your next project goes well, good luck with everything. $\:wub\:$ xxx

Thanks for your words on I'd be good for you, Leni. I have come up with countless endings of my own but none I am happy with. If it inspires thought in others and they can finish the story in their own imaginations, then I have done my job well $\:D$

Hi Leni $\:\)$ So sorry to hear about your game crashing and all the reinstall trouble, it's always so horrible to lose your sims and lots and everything like that, I've had that happen quite a few times $\:$$ Anyways, I'm sure that your next story, whatever you come up with, will be just as good, or even better than Defection... You are a wonderful writer and have that storytelling instinct so don't worry, your readers will be there for the next story $\:$$ I'm having a busy weekend studying and cleaning, workdays are starting to seem much more relaxing than the weekend.. $\:D$ Have a great day, hugs, Senja

Oh Leni! That must be horrible for you! I read Illandrya's post and I must say that I do the same thing. I copy the savefiles of the neighborhoods that are important for my stories. I've got them stored on a memorystick and every few weeks I update them. But of course it doesn't help you at this moment. $\:$$ I'm terribly sorry for you. Have you found some nice place to live in? Oh Leni, I'm so sorry to hear that $\:\($ I don't know what I would do if I lost any of my story neighbourhoods. I thought I lost my Merindylen neighborhood when I installed Ambitions and I had a panic attack! Thankfully I still had my backups. I know it doesn't help you restore your hood this time, but if and when you start another story, keep a copy of the files in the "save" subfolder somewhere else, that way you can always restore them without having to start over again.

It was such a wonderful story, it'll be sad to see it go $\:\($ You could have kept that save file but then again that might not have helped. I'm sorry CAP and CAW borked your game. I've never used them before nor do i intend to in the future. But i have installed CAW - never used it. $\:P$ I do hope you will continue but that's up to you, of course $\:wub\:$

Hi Leni! It seems to have warmed up a bit now, but it was awful chilly this morning!! I know what you mean about uni, I can't believe term starts again tomorrow, that break went WAY too fast $\:D$ I haven't even ordered all my textbooks yet $\:\($ I had planned to work on the next Veronika chapter this weekend, but I'm having too much fun actually playing the game *lol* I will definitely keep an eye out for your next Defection chapter. I hope you enjoy what is left of your weekend.

Hi Leni! $\:\)$ How are you? Oh you poor thing, having to wait 2 weeks for your interent connection. I was staying up late the other night and mine just simply cut out. And it didn't go back on. I was quite annoyed as I didn't feel like going to bed, plus I was having burst of inspiration and ideas for my next story. I waited 1/2 hr and then finally went to bed. lol I hope you move went well. I used to like moving but not anymore...moved too many times. lol No stress love, on reading my upates on my blog. Hi Leni! I hope you are well. I have had a lovely lazy weekend (sunny although a little cold) but it has also been quite productive! With no study or work to get in the way, I have finally managed to catch up on the stories here on TSR as well as a few of the blogs I follow. Not only that, but I'm almost caught up with my own updates as well $\:D$ I've just posted the final chapter to Lost and Found as well as the next Veronika chapter. If you have a chance, I'd love to hear what you think. I will try to get the next Merindylen chapter out as soon as I can.
