Hair colors and Meshes

Hey all,

I just explained to one user the situation with my hair colors and sunair's hair meshes so I thought I would put the same explanation here in my blog.

All of my hair colors are FREE and most of the meshes for my hair colors are also free EXCEPT Sunair's hair meshes. Sunair is a featured artist here at tsr and because of her title most or all of her creations (including her hair meshes) are through SUBSCRIPTION ONLY. I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do about it.

I understand that everyone that downloads my hair colors don't have a subscription, which is why I do hair colors for other creators with free meshes (peggysims, xmsims,...)I also have people with subscriptions that love the hair colors I do of Sunair's hair meshes and that's why I continue to do them.

What's going on?

Hadn't said much lately since I've been busy with school (finally the semester's coming to an end), but I been trying to keep up with my hair colors and submitting them for you all. I'm glad that you like them and I can't say enough how much I appreciate your feed back.

I have another set of sunair hair colors coming soon, this time I added a new shade of blonde for you, a lighter shade. It's a gorgeous style that long with animation and sunair did an excellent job with the mesh as always. I hope you all love the recolors I did for it as well.

This summer I want to start creating more, maybe furniture recolors. Of course, this doesn't mean I'm going to stop with my hair colors. I love doing those! I just want to try something new. I've tried creating clothing and....well let's just say it's not my thing (lol). I'll leave that to all of the wonderful talent we already have here at tsr. I definitely want to get back into creating lots. They're take alot longer to do than my hair recolors because I try not to rush them.

Video Games Poll/Final Fantasy

As you all probably have guessed from my latest submissions, I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan, have been for a while. So I thought to celebrate my obsession with it I would create some nice wall hangings to put in my sims homes and shared them with you. My first set is from FF12 and my second set that's coming soon is from FFX (definitely my favorite). I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do.

I have a new poll up now based on video games (duh). What type of games do you like to play? So far everyone is leaning toward simulations because of the sims, and that makes sense considering this is a sims website (lol). But I'm sure most of you play other games besides the sims, unless you're just sim crazy. So I'd like to hear from you. My favorite genre is RPG's (duh again) which is why I'm such a FF nut.

If there's a certain hairstyle that you would like for me to recolor, feel free to ask and I'll see if I can do it (assuming it's okay with the original creator since you have to get persmission first). Sunair is okay with recolors for her hair and Xmsims is also okay with them as long as you give credit. Peggysims is also fine with recolors of their free hairs, but other sites I'm not too sure about so just let me know. I'm in school full time so if I agree to do it, bare with me if I take a while to submit it, my daily schedule can really get crazy at times,lol.

One thing you should keep in mind when you want certain styles recolored, the textures on some styles are different so there's no guarantee the colors will look the same on every style. For ex. with sunair hairs, she has the same textures for all of her creations so when I color them the results are pretty much guaranteed to be the same, whereas with Xmsims there hair styles all have different textures so you won't always expect the same thing. It's a good thing in a way because you get more variety with the styles and colors.

And speaking of textures, I haven't exactly mastered texturing and alpha-editing hair yet,so I'm just letting you know up front I won't be able to do it as of now. I tried quite a few times but i end up making a big mess. But I'm working on it. In the meantime, if you want something in particular let me know and as always your feedback is very much appreciated! queenie

Poll Results

I'd like to thank everyone who participated in my poll on hair colors. And here are the results:

For dark red colors: 48.81% with 41 votes
For orange colors: 51.19% with 43 votes

I was surprised at how many of you actually liked the dark red colors for hair and I always wondered which color everyone prefered because I've seen threads on the forums about certain shades of red hair colors. Just so you know, just because the orange colors beat the red by a few points doesn't mean I'm only going to do orange colors for now on (lol). I started the poll because I was curious, that's all. I'll still submit both colors. That way everyone's happy!(smile) Thanks again and you'll be seeing some more colors from me soon! queenie

Binning Older Hair Colors

Right now I'm binning my older hair colors. I was able to resubmit the hairs binned without a problem. If you download the hairs indvidually, they're okay. The problem is if you try to download them as a set, it will have the new files I submitted and the old ones, which will make the zip package bigger. I'm trying to get this taken care of, so I'll let you know something soon. If you would like to redownload the binned files, I would suggest you download them individually to avoid being confused with the older files. I'm so sorry about the inconvenience.

OMG!!!

Talk about a major shock when I signed on this morning and saw that I was a selected artist! I'm so happy that you all think my creations are good enough to earn this title, thank you so much! And thanks to everyone that's welcome me.

New hair recolors coming soon! (previews)

Finally I was able to do some more hair colors. More hair colors from Xmsims in 5 colors (see preview of 2 colors below). I hope you like them. I'm also working on a new home to submit, but it's taking me longer than usual because I'm in school. I plan to finish it soon. Don't forget! Let me know what you think of my new hair colors! Also, I have a poll on my front page. I was always curious about what type of red colors eveyrone like. If you can, vote on my poll and let me know which one you prefer. Hair Recolors

Hi all! A couple of people told me that some of my hair recolors aren't showing up in the game. If you're having problems with any of my hair recolors not working are showing up just pm me and let me know. I just recently started binning my hair colors and I tested them in the game to make sure they were working okay. So far I haven't had any problems but if something's wrong I'll look into it. Also, don't forget you have to get the meshes needed for the hair colors to show up so make sure you click the link that'll lead you to the site for the mesh.
