Texture Challenges
Hi again everyone! Hope y'all are doin alright today.This week I started doing the Texture Challenges in the Forums. I am really enjoying it, and learning so much. There are some wonderfully talented folks in there, and some noobs like me - everyone helps everyone, regardless of skill level. I love the feeling of comraderie there, and expect to do more challenges. Please feel free to comment on my TC sets, I'd really love to hear what you think!
Moon Glenn Cottage
Now ... no 'tsk,tsking' me! This is a 'nice' cottage, with clipped hedges, neat and tidy ... okay, I couldn't resist putting a few worn and faded wallpapers in, but restained myself from trashing it completely. To keep the cost of the lot down ... I did use the cheapest (and ugliest) kitchen appliances, so I am sure you have something much nicer in your downloads to replace those ghastly things.
Girl's Sets Pulled for Now
The recent girl's spring outfits that were uploaded have been pulled because of a problem with the site itself. The support staff is aware of the problem and is working to fix it. But until it gets fixed, I didn't want to keep the girl's clothes up where people would have trouble downloading them. As soon as everything is cleared up, I will re-upload the sets for you all to enjoy.Welcome!

Celebration Stuff Pack
Tragedy, we bought the new stuff pack yesterday but when installing it came up with an error as it tried to install the pets patch. unfortunately this meant that in order to get the new stuff on the comp we had to commit simicide and lost everything. Means that now my hubby and I will have to go back to being snow munching toddlers again :(Update on my PC's broke
We got sound back now, our sound card broke so we removed it & added new one.I think the reason I can not install Sims and other game is there something wrong with our mainboard. It loses 3 drivers and because we ordered it from factory about 1 year ago they did not give us those drivers and we can not find them on the net, too.
We will get it fix again.
If mechanics can not find those drivers, I will get new mainboard.
But if it does not fix the problem that I can not install any game, I will need to stop playing them.
My youngers sister looking for new PC now because we lose a lot of back to fix this one that we can use that money to buy brand new PC.

This seems to be an omen that my PC will broke.
I have just found 8 dresses I will use for Fashion Show in last week of my SimNation's Next Top Model Circle 2. I have upload it to a file host site a few hours before our PC broke This seems to be an omen that my PC will broke because I have never upload my files to file host to backup before. And we just talking about we should backup our file a few days before our PC broken. The finale dress is safe at my friend's PC. so the only dress I lose is this one.
I lost all those swimwear/undies, but I can use ones I already made instead.
At least I can hold my contest and have fun with my firend if I can not install Sims again.
Ps. I still sad that I lost all my photoes with my friends.

Girl interrupted...
Life has been extremely busy for me this past week, but now that winter has returned to the Midwest, looks like this weekend I'll be able to get some work done, especially since my son will be at his dad's house! I've started trying my hand at meshing so I may be spending some time on the boards in addition to uploading all the things that have been sitting on my desktop waiting.... waiting.... waitingI am open to suggestion, advice, anything you think can help me and point me in the right direction. I opened up MilkShape last night for the first time and went through Munchkin_brat's tutorial. It was scary, but fun. Wish me luck! Thanks for reading :-)

I have, for a while, at least, wanted somewhere that I could recommend/proclaim my favourite objects and downloads from here at TSR. Site staff have also been considering this idea and hopefully it will be included in a future site update. :)My all time favourites include:
Bitzybus' Matching Bedroom Curtains I love that these use the bedding for their texture and that they fit the lower windows.
For the higher windows, Windkeeper's Perfect Match Curtains, are perfect too! They are now held under the TSR Archive - permanently free FA creations?

Spacesaver shelves by Windkeeper and Working Wall Shelves Sysytem by Bitzybus for adding all those interesting bits and bobs to surfaces around your Sim's houses to make them look like homes.
Charleston Bedroom
I'm currently testing out the beta version of the new submissions form. Things still need a bit of tweaking so I've had to use a combination of the current form and the new beta form to get it all uploaded so fingers crossed that it all works out in the end. :PAnyway, you may recall that waaaay back in January, I mentioned I was doing some recolours of Kris' beautiful Bristol Bay bedroom suite. You may also recall that I came down with some serious creativity block for the bedlinens and ended up setting the collection aside. Well, I finally knuckled down and finished everything up and am quite pleased with the results - hopefully all of you are, too.
The Charleston bedroom features dark walnut wood and gold metal accents with beige and light brown wallpaper and bedlinens. This is just the first in a hopefully on-going series of recolours for this suite so expect more periodically.

Our PC broke and after we got it fixed we lose everything.
This is not another April's Fool joke. Our PC broke and after we got it fixed we lose all the clothes I recently made for my SimNation's Next Top Model Circle 2 contest that I will hold in a few monthes. I only dress I still got is this one, it is my favourite, thank God that my friend ask me for it so it is safe at my friend PC.
Both my younger sister&I lose all our photoes of us with our old friends since we was a kids and we also lose all the work we have done.
My sister lose her best essays and I lose all these dresses and I know that I can not remake them again --I spend about a week to made all these outfits.
This one comes in 5 colors.
Now I can not install my game at all because I got error all the time so I think I quit from The Sims for now, but I will buy more EPs & SPs and install it after I can save enough money to buy new PC.
I want to cry now

Summer Days Collectio File
I have just updated the collection file for the Summer Days Set, I had a few objects linked to that collection that are coming in another set, so I thought I had better let you all know, you can download it again or leave it and the other items when I release them will be in that collection also...it's up to you. I really do like the way these walls turned out. In the description for these walls I mentioned that in the Middle Ages people would use panels of fabric to decorate their interior walls .... sort of pre-wallpaper era. I thought that was an interesting concept, so I gave it a try. They actually turned out better than I expected. Also, you will find most of these wallcoverings in Hamm and Nana Totts Cottages. Not the whole set, but most of them. I truly hope you like them! And one last thing, I have found some interesting sites that have wonderful medieval items (free), if you would like the links ... PM me!
Hamm Cottage
On this cottage I used the Maxis roof shingles (green, AHHH!) so you might want to look around for a more suitable custom shingle to use. A rough, chunky shingle would be best. Pictured below is a shingle by Shannanigan here at TSR. I have carefully checked all her items and it looks like this particular shingle is no longer available. But I wanted to show you the difference of what a different roof texture would make. Good hunting to you!

Yep, another cottage .... It's larger than Hamm's Cottage .... and there is room for a driveway, if you need one. Just pull a tree or 2 out, there is room.
SPRING FEVER!
As you all can tell by my recent submissions, I have a bad case of Spring Fever! This is my favorite time of year with the warm sunshine, blooming flowers, and bright colors. I was inspired recently when I went shopping with my daughter and saw all the beautiful new spring outfits. I wanted to try and re-create those outfits for the Sims. But I think I've gone overboard! Now my Sims have tons of Spring outfits, but hardly anything for Fall and Winter. With the release of the latest expansion pack, Seasons, I guess I should begin to create things for ALL seasons now.Also, the poor guys are suffering once again with my lack of motivation to create clothes for them. I love for my Sim men and boys to look nice, but for some reason, I don't ever get "inspired" to create for them. I guess it's because I come from a family of all girls. I have two daughters, four sisters, seven nieces, and one granddaughter! I have always shopped for girls....dressed girls....and since I'm a girl too...I know what makes girls happy. It's a lot harder for me to dress boys and men. Even when I was married, I had trouble shopping for my husband. LOL!!
But I will try to look around on the internet and see if I can get inspired to create some male clothes. I can't promise that they will be as "colorful" or creative as my female clothes, but then again.....boys just aren't as colorful as girls!

A Week Off....
Yes Dr. Macabre is taking a week off from work to catch up on a few things, and to do some much needed relaxing.I hope that while I relax I can catch up on some of the request I have. I want to thank all of you for your patients in waiting to see your request come to life.
Don't get me wrong I really do love doing them. It helps me come up with ideas when I run out, and it lets me make things I know some of you really would like to see.
It's just I have been so busy with work and other things that I have fallen a little bit behind. Request to be exact. But I'll get those done and keep going because I really do enjoy creating and I enjoy knowing that you people like what I do.
So keep it all coming. Comments, request and such. And I'll keep making great things for you and your Sims to enjoy.

Thank you so much for all the great comments I've had recently. I'm sorry I can't answer them all individually. Please know that they are all very much appreciated. The comments often put a smile on my face and they really make creating feel worthwhile. Thank you :-)If you do want to come and talk to me in the forums, please do. Just hit the "My Forum thread" link on my home page on the left hand side under the "FA Community Area" graphic to get there. I don't do requests as such but if there's anything you'd like to see more of, do say. And I love hearing about Sims who have moved into lots I've created, so please come along and post pics if you have any to share.

Georgian Townhouse with Mews
Out tomorrow, this property is based on the old Georgian properties you find in London, which have a row of Mews houses at the back, where the stables and servants used to be housed. These lovely Mews properties are now worth millions in their own right and the stables have all been converted to garages or living accomodation.So, you can use the Mews for a home business or for housing your Sims' servants or additional family members. The lot is the largest medium lot - a 5x2. It also features a sideways garage. PLEASE don't remove the garage door on this lot! It's VERY difficult to put it back, if you do. If you enter the lot without moving Sims in first, the garage door won't appear correctly. This will correct itself as soon as you move some Sims in.
A few pics! I really wanted the property to have the feel of a smart London street, so I hope you'll feel I've captured that.

Salsa bathroom ready!
The Salsa Bathroom is ready and will be published tomorrow (april 6th). A little bit later then planned, but to ease the pain for the waiting a little bit, I've added another few extra things to this set, like some bathroom clutter that can be placed on the extra slots on the sink, an extra cornerpiece with 5 working shelves, a loungechair that matches the bed and loveseat of the Salsa Bedroom and a figurative art sculpture. Also some candles to place on the bathtub. And wouldn't you like to place some clutter like toiletpaper or a toiletbrush near the toilet? Well, now you can. For the bathtub I've made an extra recolor in reversed black and white, so you can combine the two subsets and make a complete white or black bathtub or even a combined bath in yingyang colors. I'm wishing everyone lots of fun with this bathroom, it was sure a lot of fun making it!
How to Extend the Storybook Starters
At last! Here's a few instructions, should you want to extend the foundation of these houses.First of all, you don't need to use the CFE cheat to do this. My apologies for the mis-information. I built the houses using the cheat and thought it would be necessary to turn it on again. It isn't. Which makes things much easier.
The one thing you need to do is to drag the new foundation away from the existing foundation.
For example, if you start here...:
...and drag...:
...you'll get a nice new foundation:
But if you start here:
And drag towards the foundation:
The build engine won't allow the foundation to be added.
Obviously, the reason for all this is the higher-than-usual foundation that the townhouses are built on. They look more authentic this way. Some of the Maxis houses that came with Nightlife are also built in this way, so these instructions will work for extending those houses, too.
I'll post more about the CFE cheat sometime for those of you who are unfamiliar with it. It's an advanced building cheat which you have to be careful with but which can produce some interesting results. When I next build something that uses it, I'll take some pics and explain in more detail.

Video Games Poll/Final Fantasy
As you all probably have guessed from my latest submissions, I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan, have been for a while. So I thought to celebrate my obsession with it I would create some nice wall hangings to put in my sims homes and shared them with you. My first set is from FF12 and my second set that's coming soon is from FFX (definitely my favorite). I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do.I have a new poll up now based on video games (duh). What type of games do you like to play? So far everyone is leaning toward simulations because of the sims, and that makes sense considering this is a sims website (lol). But I'm sure most of you play other games besides the sims, unless you're just sim crazy. So I'd like to hear from you. My favorite genre is RPG's (duh again) which is why I'm such a FF nut.

Today I Got Divorced !
Well! Finally!!! for those who did not know (and most of you probably didnt) deep in Mistress' dark and lurky past I once did this thing and "got married" god knows why, and alas my only defence being that i got very poorly and once over the illness itself, my kindly doctor gave me this pill called Prozac and the next 16 moinths were a haze of fluffy clouds and melancoly... upon ceasing these wonderful pills Mistress sat down and thought OMG! what have I done?! and life trundled on until Mistress could no longer bear "Him indoors'" strange interest in WATCHING fishing on TV (not actually fishing mind you, just watching!)his rather grating hyena type laugh, his dodgy haircut,, his perchant for dance music and - the final straw - THE RED TRAINERS!!!!Now, you look at ole Mistress, what does Mistress like? Create? Listren to? and bear a vague (albeit more sensible for work now) resemblance to ones avatar?! and I somehow married a guy who hated heavy metal, and wore red trainers, like fishing and bore a disturbing resemblance to Penfold out of Dangermouse - I was in a good mind to sue that doctor! Anyway, one has to make mistakes to learn from them! and I can kinda laugh now, and strangely enough me and him actually get on better now than we ever did... stingy get still wouldnt go half on the court costs tho! but alas i did all the legalities myself - being a bit of a control freak often works in yur advantage of eagerly swotting up on a few bits of law here and there to stop other people ripping you off! - and it was the best �400 ive ever spent!
So HURRAH to me! Im legally single once more!!! HURRAH!!!
Paintings
While we all wait breathlessly for the new kitchen set, I have submitted a small number of recolors of my painting mesh. I hope they will be out in a couple of days. They are all folk art recolors and these I actually use in my houses. I particularly like the lighthouse one, but Bobo the cat is also fun.Modern Kitchen appliances update
I have updated the stove and the frigde from my Modern Kitchen to use all the interactions from OFB and Seasons.NOTE: If you download them they will overwrite the base game version if you have that but the recolors will still work.
They will be released on april 5.
new set coming
I am working on a set with Darqstar. I am going to be doing the meshes and she will be doing all the recolors/retextures/textures. I am really excited about this project. It will hopefully be done (my part) in the next week or two.A new house
On its way is a new little starter home for your Simmies who are just making their first steps in the big wide world. It is a one-bedroom house with full bathroom and a nice kitchen and eating area. The house has been decorated with a light hand and there is a small amount of landscaping.
Next up from me will be a bit of a departure - I'm attempting a big house :)
My New Mini-Site
Well, I'm excited! I just got my new mini-site this evening. I know I haven't created anything in awhile, so I decided to try my hand at houses. I made 2 new homes this evening that I've submitted. I've never submitted a home before, so I don't know how well it will be received. I got inspired when a friend of mine was telling me about the home they are about to build. She designed the floorplan herself. I decided to try and make a sim version of it. I had fun with it so I decided to get my book of floorplans out that I hadn't looked at in awhile. Then I tried my hand at one more home. Who knows, I might make even more! Sometimes it's hard to break away from playing long enough to make something.Anyway, I'm going for now. I'm still trying to figure out how to do this mini-site.

Hi and welcome to my minisite.I am very new to the world of creating for the sims as you can probably tell but i hope to get better as time goes by using the great tutorials out there.I usually focus on hairstyles as this is the thing i am most interested in but i will be throwing in other sim stuff the more confident i get in my creations anyway thanks for reading and i would appreciate any comments anyone has to say about my creations :)
Spring Collection Part 2
As my Spring 2007 Collection seemed quite popular, I decided to create a second mix & match set along the same lines, this time with a pink theme. Again, there are four tops and four bottoms, mostly based on previous creations: a natural cropped cardi, a pink cotton top with lace sleeves, a pink and white cotton top with daisy appliqu�, a pink cami with cream lace trim and straps, pink jeans with floral embroidery, cropped pink trousers and two short pink skirts, one floral and one striped.
All items are for adults and young adults. The cropped cardi requires Nightlife. All other items use standard Maxis meshes and are base game compatible.
I will be getting married on 28th April so I'm afraid I won't have as much time as usual to spend creating for The Sims during the next couple of months - just in case you wonder what's happened to me!
