The oldest wooden structure in Canada can be found in one of the oldest communities, Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. Begun in 1696 by a French officer serving under Louis XIV this home has had 16 owners over it's 300 year history. When Port Royal fell to the British in 1710 Major Louis de Gannes returned to France and Major Alexander Cosby took up residence there. The gambrel-roofed post and beam house has seen the addition of a gabled entrance, roof dormers and a large ell addition at the back. Most amazingly it is still a private residence. This lot features a centre hall with Drawing Room on one side and Library and Dining Room on the other. In the ell is a Kitchen and Powder Room and a Sitting Room. Behind is a patio, garden and treehouse in the large yard. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and 4 piece bath and a large Family Room. A full basement has laundry and space for further development. Kitchen updated sometime in the last century. Many special touches for magical Sims. Part of my Historic Canada Series.
