$\:\)$ It cant be long now until you finish school are you busy with exams. My youngest son comes home from University this week, he has finished his first year. This time last year I was worried about him leaving home and now he has done the first year, only three more to go $\:P$ Let me know how you get on- Take care , see you $\:\)$

Congratulations! My sister is graduating highschool this year too. Are you going to college? I have 2 more chapters and perhaps a credits thing where I take/ have pictures of each of the characters. Because after this story is done I'm reformatting my computer and letting the story go. The neighborhood is buggy and slow and worth keeping but I want to remember the characters esp. the offspring. I probably won't be writing any stories for a long time. I'm going to concentrate on custom content again. $\:wub\:$ erin

I haven't had the pleasure of riding in a taxi so I couldn't tell you how expensive they are, I have been told that the taxi drivers try and rip foriegners off with expensive fares so I think the drivers decide how much it's gonna cost you, it's not like in GB (and possibly Sweden) where you have different taxi firms and they compete with each other, it's one firm so they can charge what they like I suppose $\:wacko\:$

Its a shame my geography teacher had not made her lessons as interesting as Sally's posts, I might have listened a bit more $\:P$ Its interesting to know how other people live. I feel a bit sorry for the women in Oman though. Fancy not even going to your own wedding. I have a friend that married a Pakistan doctor and lived there for 20 years. She has four daughters. They all came over to London to study and married here. Their wedding day lasted three days as they had a traditional Pakistan ceremony and then a British wedding . I was worn out with all the festivities $\:P$ Off to do some gardening. My dragon sends your dragon a big ROAR $\:D$

The buses don't look very safe to me, they look like big mini buses, a bit like they are in India, and they're always jammed full of people, there are no trains but lots of taxi's you basically stand at the side of the road and wave at a taxi when he drives past, sometimes if you're just waiting to cross the road they think you're waiting for a taxi and stop $\;\)$ They don't que over here, you have to stand really close to the person in front of you cause if you leave the smallest of gaps someone will push in front of you, they're the same with driving, they pull out in front of you or race to get in front of you and then drive really slowly, it's really frustrating. $\:wacko\:$

Me too! I don't have enough patience waiting for the game to load a new screen, it's a bit better now they can walk to lots but most of my sims do everything at home $\:D$ I don't know about other holidays yet but as soon as I do you'll be the first to know $\;\)$ Hope you have a good day, bet you can't wait to get your laptop, I'll be loading FT onto my pc on friday, I can't wait to have a go. $\:P$

You've got great timing girl $\:D$ I was thinking about you yesterday, I went to my friends house for a cuppa yesterday, she's the one who's married to an Omani so I grilled her a little for you. First things first, I'm fine, my boxes arrived on Sunday, my pc was set up yesterday but I haven't simmed yet as I need to put things away and sort things out and yes they have Ramadan here, it's the whole of september. My friends sons go to an Indian school (here in oman) as the oman school system isn't very good, anyway they have exams every 3 months and if they don't pass them they get put back a year. They're now on holiday for 2 months. A lot of the marriages here are arranged by the family's, a boy's family will hear about a girl with a good family and will start making arrangements for marriage, the groom has to pay the brides family a dowri of up to 5000 rials, the bride and groom don't meet until the wedding night, if they're lucky they may get to talk to each other on the phone before hand. On the wedding day the bride dresses in a big white wedding gown, like our brides gowns, wears thick thick make up and never leaves her house, all her female relatives go to her house and spend the day with her. The groom dresses up and goes to the mosque with his male relatives and the brides male relatives and he gets married to the bride at the mosque (all the time she's sat at her house) with the brides father present, the men then leave the mosque and parade down the street singing and dancing, all the men go back to the grooms house where they party, the bride will be taken to the grooms house on either the evening of the wedding or it can be up to two days later, no one sees her, she's covered up, she taken to the grooms bedroom where she must sit on the bed and wait for him, all her female relatives visit her in the bedroom so they can see what the groom has brought for her (bed, table, chairs etc etc), and that is a omani wedding. here they think white skin is beautiful so the women will where thick cream and make up to make them look white and the womans main role here is to have children, the more the better, so a typical family here is 8-10 kids, a male can have 4 wives so the women have as many children as possible so their husbands don't take another wife.
